No, not catsup nor ketchup, Cat’s soup. 🙂 It’s still tax season. Ugh! The Cat’s been coming home kind of late. She wants light dinners. I used to make a vegetable dish and a soup but then there’s too much liquid before bedtime and The Cat has to get up to … (Sorry, TMI).
Lately, I’ve been making quick vegetable dishes that have broth. An example.
Mushroom dashi, choy sum, Enoki mushrooms, salt and sugar to taste. A drizzle of roasted sesame oil on top just before serving. The Cat is from Shanghai, they tend to add a bit of sugar to their dishes. Vegetarian and low-fat (and you thought we were serious carnivores, we’re serious omnivores). 🙂
It’s not really a soup (too much “stuff”), too thin to call it a stew,
Enjoy. Eat well.
The Mouse
I say I don’t like mushrooms, but I manage to love the big round ones that my daughter bakes with parmesan cheese. I think she sautes the stems and bits in butter or oil and green onions and creme cheese and puts that on the mushrooms. At any rate, it is not low calorie or low fat, but I sure it good! I will have to suggest this kind of broth-soup. She likes that kind of thing. Thanks. Have a great holiday!

Hey, Mouse, thanks for following. I have never heard of Enoki mushrooms, are they the long skinny white things?
Thanks for following too. Yep, the skinning white things are the mushrooms aka golden needle mushrooms. Eat well.
