Part of The Cat’s prix fixe lunch. More of the lunch later. Soup course was “fish chowder”.
Not cream style and no fish. The floor captain refilled the bowl making sure there was fish.

The Cat had an early doctor’s appointment in town. The Mouse tagged along. Breakfast in the mall at the coffee shop/diner.
Server also brought over a basket of butter rolls with neon jelly.
Could you guess who ordered what? 😉

The Mouse’s “Quarter Pounder”

The nearby MickyD is running a BOGO promotion this month. The Mouse is taking advantage of the deal. The ideal set-up: less ketchup, more pickles, no cheese, no salt. The Mouse added sliced turnip, zucchini, and a Napa cabbage stem (the leaf portion went into The Cat’s soup) from the refridge.

Chef’s Choice

Chef’s choice dinner. 🙂
Venison, poached pear, spinach, demi-glace. The Mouse could have had this as an entree. Mmm!
“Caesar” salad, red wine vinaigrette, hearts of palm, extra anchovies. The vinegar and anchovy taste combo. Mmm again.
With pasta, tomato coulis. Not sure about the preparation of the salmon, well cooked.
Again, The Mouse didn’t get the preparation again, tasted a little plum-like flavor. The Cat and The Mouse had take most home for later. The venison and the duck, the best.
Mango sorbet. Great combination.
Overall, inspired meal. 🙂
