Salads

Costco run this past weekend. The Mouse picked-up a package of Romaine lettuce. Problem with Costco for The Cat and The Mouse is the volume. The Mouse took it as a sign to eat more salad. A good nudge.

The Cat tried a lunch spot near her office.

Shoyu Chicken

One chicken thigh leftover.

The Mouse boned the chicken thigh, made chicken broth for The Cat, and a chicken salad for The Mouse.

Shoyu Chicken Salad

Romaine lettuce, shoyu chicken, canned baby corn, raw turnip cubes. The Mouse was happy. 🙂

Another day, another leftover protein, another salad.

Roast Pork Salad

Similar greens, The Mouse added sliced cucumber and raw ginger matchsticks. Another dish The Mouse was happy with. Mmm. 🙂

Roast Pork Tuesday

The daily special and Ruby Tuesday at the mall. The Cat and The Mouse ordered.

With baked potato and broccoli. Not Chinese roast pork but there is gravy. The Mouse liked more than The Cat. Leftover for at least one bento and one sandwich. 🙂

Salmon “Salad”

The Mouse “home” eats.

Lunch

A tin of red salmon, raw turnip, green onion, salt and paprika. Mmm. 🙂

And The Mouse got to eat one more Costco hotdog.

Dinner

Similar to the last hot dog, added tomato wedges. Still no furikake. The Mouse thought the furikake would add too much salt flavor.

Japanese Breakfast

A try try. Fujiyama Texas. For dinner, the restaurant has a kushikatsu menu (deep-fried skewered food). Restaurant recently offers a Japanese breakfast menu.

Manager’s wife tried to explain the restaurant’s name. The Mouse got lost in translation.

The Cat ordered.

Grilled Local Fish Breakfast

On Sunday, fish was opelu (mackerel scad). The Cat liked, The Mouse thought a little “fishy”. The Cat upgraded the miso soup to pork and tofu soup. Mmm.

The Mouse ordered.

Simmered Pork

The Mouse was expecting shoyu pork, the taste was less bold. That’s okay, shoyu was available to add. 🙂

Costco Run

Costco run, fruit, vegetable, etc. The Mouse picked up a package of romaine lettuce for home eats and The Cat’s bento. The Mouse is thinking no need to cook, The lettuce will cook when The Cat reheats the bento in the microwave.

For home eats, The Mouse threw into The Cat’s leftover oxtail soup jook.

Costco Hotdog

The Mouse added a romaine lettuce leaf, yellow mustard, and Kewpie mayo. The Mouse would have added a sprinkle of furikake if he remembered.

Oh and an update The Mouse used the brown sugar ginger in his coffee over the weekend.
