Archive for December, 2016

According to the internet, yesterday was National Bacon Day, not to be confused with International Bacon Day (September 2nd).

I usually don’t follow these things, but it’s bacon!

Breakfast, from Zippy’s

Mini Breakfast

Mini Breakfast

Brown rice, one scrambled egg, two bacon (crispy). Nothing fancy, just something to kick start the day.

Wanted to try a place off Ward Avenue, for their lilikoi BLT, on the edge of Kakaka‘ako but there was a line out the door, and no place to park.

Ended up at the mall at La Palme Dʻor for one of their croissant sandwiches. They were sold out of BLT, so got a prosciutto sandwich as a substitute.

Not much happening between holidays. Just regular stuff.

Breakfast

Breakfast

Snowball cookies (from one of The Cat’s clients) and dried plums. The Cat wasn’t too fond of the cookies, too “spicy” (cinnamon and nutmeg) for her.

Lunch

Lunch

Cold cut sandwich on pumpkin bread (from Brug Bakery), raw celery (olive oil and salt), raw sliced turnip (shoyu).

Dinner

Dinner

Sautéed turnip, turnip greens, and celery with shoyu.

The Cat's Bowl

The Cat’s Bowl

Chicken feet soup noodle with turnip and greens.

This batch was pretty epic. Two packages of chicken feet (I usually use one). The soup gelled so solid, I’m thinking of writing to Jell-O with suggestion of a new flavor (chicken feet) with feet. Do you think it would sell? Hee hee!

Enjoy. Eat well.
