Partly cleaning out the refridge.

The Mouse’s lunch did not start out as a “franken” dish, more finishing leftovers. The Cat’s leftover sope. One of the meat managers at the warehouse made spicy tuna, The Mouse couldn’t resist. He figured sope was spicy, spicy tuna was spicy, why not.

Leftover Carnita Sope with Spicy Tuna

Kinda went together, not a perfect fit, but okay.

The Cat’s dinner was really cleaning out the refridge. Coconut milk, leftover pesto bruschetta (bread and all), celery, egg. Throw all together and hope for the best.

Soup

The Cat seemed to like, at least didn’t go eww! Hee hee.

Oh, The Mouse might be unplugged for a few days. Changing computer and turkey stuffing, or is it stuffed mouse.

If on, on, if not on, not on. Stay tuned.

Happy Thanksgiving (if you are so inclined).

Enjoy. Eat well.

Sunday breakfast, The Mouse wanted eggs benedict (in this case Florentine) and rice. Maybe he just wanted the Hollandaise sauce. Hee hee.

Eggs Florentine and Rice

Neighborhood breakfast spot. The Mouse flattened the scoops of rice, made a little divot, moved the eggs to the rice and mixed. Nom! Local mouse that’s why. Hee hee. The rest of the Florentine was good too. The English muffin, slightly crispy, and the spinach and tomato made the breakfast feel “healthy”. Hee hee.

The Cat was more traditional.

Pancakes and Eggs

Highpoint for The Cat though was the return of their orange “syrup”.

Orange “Syrup”

Basically, The Mouse thinks they pulverize whole oranges, skin and all. Last time we were here, the oranges were watery. The Cat did not like, kinda like orange juice with some pulp. This time, full on pulp, with a litlle bit of moisture. Think orange marmalade without the sugar and binder. The Cat almost liked the little pot the orange thingy came in. 🙂

Pau for now.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Colorful Eats

Dunno if because of the weather or something else, The Mouse was in the mood for a little heat. Saturday dinner, Mexican. Chile Relleno, The Cat and The Mouse’s favorite neighborhood Mexican eats so far. Plus, on Saturday, they have live music. The guitar player is soooooo happy. Makes our day.

The Mouse had his usual fiesta bowl.

Chile Verde Fiesta Bowl

Where the edamame came from dunno, but fits. Hee hee.

The Cat wanted to try something new.

Carnita Sope

The thick fried masa was a new experience. Corn bread-y, sorta what The Cat’s father used to make at home. Not bread, kinda like a dough blob.

Pau for now.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Japanese Bento

Running errands at the mall. The Mouse wanted to try a pop-up musubi place for lunch (located in the Japan walk food court), alas soooooo expensive, not cheap eats at all.

The Mouse ended up picking up a bento at one of the other vendor stands.

Inside

Chicken soboro bento, rice, ground chicken, shredded scrambled egg, chicken karaage, pickles. Nom!

First time trying the ground chicken Japanese style. Pretty good comfort food. The Mouse would eat again. 🙂

And … price point more acceptable to The Mouse’s wallet.

Yesterday weather kinda rainy. The Mouse channeling Van Gogh?

Rainbow through the Raindrops/Windshield

Eh! Probably not, but The Mouse just having fun at the stop light. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Cat got home a little early yesterday. The Mouse was in a rush to prep dindin.

One Pot Rice Bowl

Leftover rice, water, celery, asparagus, bamboo shoot, Hanapepe salt, egg. Simmer for 5 or so minutes.

Done. The Cat comfort food. Not really, but the bowl reminded me of the movie Oliver. Hee hee.

Pau for now.

Enjoy. Eat well.
