Do you know when stressed is a good thing? When it’s spelled backwards. Desserts. Heh heh.
Anywho, a couple of cousins are in town (they attended the Merrie Monarch Festival). We hooked up with them and some friends for dessert at Café Laufer (3565 Wai’alae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii). Since it was a little late, The Cat and I didn’t want to fill up on “dessert dessert”. We shared a couple of “breakfast” pastries.
Orange Cranberry Muffin

Macadamia Nut Sticky Bun
I think the orange cranberry muffin was one of the better muffins I’ve had in a long while. Very fragrant, nice texture, moist without being soggy. A definite order again. The restaurant wasn’t holding back on the mac nuts on the sticky bun. And it certainly lived up to its sticky name. 🙂

Coffee
Cousin G wanted me to take a picture of his coffee (???). Each cup is individually brewed and served with the crema still intact. He liked his cups of coffee.
Heading off to pay respects to the ancestors tomorrow (it’s a Chinese thing). Hope to take a few pictures.
