Doctor says The Mouse has to cut down (not eliminate) carbs. Less sandwiches (two slices of bread), more toast (one slice of bread.

Vegemite Toast with Margarine

Oh yeah, butter is kinda a “taboo” too. Still working out the Vegemite ratio, I may have gone a wee bit overboard on the picture above.

Rice Ball Day!

Normally do not observe these “days”, but this one hits close to home:

April 19th is National Rice Ball Day!

If it’s on the internet, must be true! Hee hee.

So, stopped in at Mana-Bu’s on the way to work.

Konbu Rice Ball, Crispie Rice Ball (Coffee and Walnut Flavor)

Rice ball for The Mouse, the crispie for cubicle neighbor (so I can ask her work questions).

On the way home, shopped for Friday potluck, gonna make crockpot mushrooms with onions and sun dried tomatoes in white wine.

Enjoy. Eat well.

When The Mouse was younger, leftovers was not in the vocabulary nor a concept. Now that The Mouse is older (not necessarily wiser), leftovers are not only a practice, but a happy concept. Benefits include not having to prep and cook as often, and helps to keep the clothes from shrinking. Hee hee. Don’t get me wrong, I love prepping and cooking, just that right now there are a few personal structural issues that need to be addressed before The Mouse can go “full speed” in the kitchen.

The Cat brought home, office lunch. The Mouse nibbled throughout the day.

Baked Potato

Another lunch. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.
