Bones

Pork Bones

Pork Bones

I had a couple of pictures from the top picture to this.

Seaweed, Dried Greens, Cucumber, Black Eyed Beans Noodle Soup in Pork Broth

The Cat cooked the broth.

The software in the “smartphone” got updated and the phone ate my pictures, no, it was not operator error. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Stupid phone. 😦

Sometimes, technology, fail. I thought it was supposed to make our lives easier. Bah Humbug! Sigh. 🙂

Oh well.

Enjoy (life’s too short). Eat well.

Lunch is Like a Box …

You know the rest.

“Appetizer”. Scrounged in the church kitchen.

Green Bean shaped Baked Crunchies

Hummus

Hummus

The crunchies made a good vehicle for the hummus.

Lunch. From the clearance shelf at Diamond Head Market and Grill.

Pork and Vegetable Mandoo Soup

Picture taken pre-nuke. Not bad, cheap.

Slow Roasted Jerk Pork Loin with Mango Salsa

Slow Roasted Jerk Pork Loin with Mango Salsa

Actually, this was really good (taken for what it is). Pork was a little on the hard and dry side, but the taste, salty, jerky-ish. And as luck would have it, got an end cut piece (more flavor). A very capable substitute for char siu (not replacement for, substitute). Mango salsa, sweet and spicy. If I see this on the clearance shelf again, definitely pick up.

Black Forest Cake?

Black Forest Cake?

Chocolate cake with cherry-ish filling. Had this a couple of times, has not disappointed yet.

Tomorrow is pay day, yay! Maybe don’t have to pick off the clearance shelf tomorrow. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.

Reboot

Taking it slow. Recovered for the most part. Still a little gassy though (sorry, TMI).

Breakfast.

Tomato Soup

Tomato Soup

Nothing fancy, generic, add water, boil, slurp. With a slice of toast. The Cat call it “patient soup”.

Lunch.

Quinoa, Natto, XO Sauce, Preserved Olive Leaves

Quinoa, Natto, XO Sauce, Preserved Olive Leaves

Mmm, fermented food (the good kind). Trying to restore the healthy bacteria mix in the tummy.

Dinner.

Smoked Meat over Steamed Hapa Rice

Smoked Meat (and Onions) over Steamed Hapa Rice

Small portion. Pork, smoked, then slightly grilled. Mmm. Yum. Nom.

The Mouse is back.

BTW, today is Chinese moon festival. Have a mooncake.

Mouse Crash

Sorry, dealing with what I think is a little bit of food poisoning. Chinese food last night.

Dinner

Dinner

Soup, oysters with ginger and onions, fish and tofu hot pot, choi sum, and lobster.

Maybe the oysters were not as fresh as they could be.

Luckily we didn’t pay, someone else hosted.

Be back tomorrow, I think.
