Quickie Soups

Still in the between holidays mode. Quickie soups, ’cause weather is relatively chill.

The Cat’s Soup

Chicken bouillon, turnip tops, bamboo shoot. Late-night soup. The Cat trying to tie-up loose ends before year-end.

The Mouse’s Soup

The Mouse couldn’t wait, slurped first. Chive and green onion sausage, frozen mini won ton (one bite), carrot.

Happy eve.

Stay safe and well.

At Chef H’s restaurant (not owner, executive chef). Because of The Mouse’s issue with dairy, Chef modified the menu (thanks Chef H).

Mushroom Consomme, Smoked Sausage Shrimp Skewer

The Cat’s soup was Chicken mushroom Londonderry soup with a touch of cream.

Warm Duck Salad

Long Island duckling over big island greens, balsamic pomegranate vinaigrette, poached pear, orange, jicama, pecan nuts. Mmm.

Prime Strip Roast Beef

The Mouse missed out on roasted garlic mashed potato, cauliflower au gratin, and baked tomato. He got an extra cornbread instead.

The Cat ordered salmon & scallop coulibiac, think salmon wellington. No picture. Ugh.

Warm Apple-Blueberry Cobbler, Mango Sorbet

The Cat’s regular had vanilla gelato.

Stay safe and well.
