Hummus?

The Mouse bought from the grocery store, on clearance.

Hummus?

White beans, edamame, sesame seeds. Not bad, taste was okay, texture was too smooth? The Mouse is used to a grainier hummus texture.

The Mouse made an open-faced sandwich.

Lunch

Japanese bakery bread, toasted, hummus, sauteed onions, sliced tomato, salt and pepper to taste. Mmm. 🙂

Be safe and well. Yay! It’s Friday!

The Cat’s lunch/dinner recently.

Roast Pork, Roast Duck, Choi Summ, Rice

Usually, there is enough for The Cat for a second eats (dinner). This time, the duck was kinda bony (not much meat).

The Mouse did take-out from the neighborhood chop suey.

Choi Summ, Char Siu

This order will last The Mouse (and The Cat) several meals. 🙂

Be safe and well.

Omurice

One of The Mouse’s favorite. He had a doctor’s appointment yesterday in town, he is feeling a little Frankenstein-ish right now. Take-out lunch from Sakura Terrace.

Omurice

Chicken and kethup fried rice underneath. Order included miso soup, side salad, and potato salad. Ever since The Mouse watched the scene from Tampopo, he was hooked. 🙂

The Mouse has not experienced the dish made in Japan, but this take-out (although the omelet was inherently “overcooked”, steamed in take-out box), The Mouse was happy with. 🙂

Be safe and well.

The Mouse threw together a no-recipe bowl.

The Mouse’s Lunch

White rice, macaroni stars and letters, Vienna sausage, onion, carrot, seaweed, salt and pepper to taste.

Probably not a bowl for everyone, but The Mouse liked. 🙂

Be safe and well.

The Mouse had a minor food hunt snafu over the weekend. Ended up buying a vegetable plate from the Korean take-out at the nearby shopping mall.

Vegetable Plate

Cucumber kimchi (very mild), rolled egg omelet, pickled seaweed, salted cabbage, braised potato (for The Cat’s bento). Mmm! A good detour.

Because The Mouse wanted a little starch, not too much.

SPAM Musubi

Not from 7-Eleven, from the local grocery store. Bonus, it was day-end priced. 🙂

Be safe and well.
