The Mouse wanted sweet pickle flavor. Buying a whole jar is a waste, the pickles turn yellow before we can finish the jar. The Mouse picked up a worthy alternative.

EZ Squeeze

The Mouse is more likely to finish.

The vessels by which the relish was consumed. Hee hee.

The Mouse’s “Cheat Plate”

Fried and salty food with sweet pickles/relish. Mmm! 🙂

From Panda Express: Chicken egg roll, and vegetable spring rolls (2). From grocery store: corn dog.

The Mouse picked up a one choice for The Cat.

Steamed Rice, Mixed Vegetables, Mushroom Chicken

For Murphy’s Law reasons, The Cat didn’t have the food for dinner, she will take it for her bento.

Be safe and well.

More clearance eats. Thanks to the grocery store that doesn’t throw away leftovers. 🙂

Pastele Stew

More veggies than usual (not a bad thing), must have been the bottom of the pot. 🙂

Li Hing Pineapple

One of The Mouse’s favorites, Mmm.

Apple Crumble

The crumble might be a bit soggy by now, no matter, crumble or soggy, still tastes good. Hee hee.

Donut

A Homer breakfast, or snack.

Be safe and well.

Not really The Beatles inspired. More digging through the kitchen.

Ginger, raw peanuts, canned cannellini beans, oatmeal, peanut powder, an egg, and salt to taste.

Throw everything together and pray for the best. 🙂

The Cat’s Soup/Stew

A sprinkle of paprika and chives for color. The Cat seemed to like.

The Mouse found a “remnant plate” at the supermarket.

Pastele “Mini Bento”

Scoop of rice, scoop of mashed potato with gravy, one pastele, $3.99. Good deal as the grocery deli was selling one pastele as a side for $3.99. Rare treat for The Mouse. 🙂

Be safe and well.

Take out, some for The Cat, some for The Mouse. 🙂

No “tea” involved. Hee hee.

Steamed Pork and Chive Dumplings

Wintermelon Drink

Plain, no boba. Just the way The Mouse like it.

Taiwan Omelet

Flat pancake, scrambled eggs, cucumber, pork floss (dried pork jerky, shredded), and mayonnaise. One of The Cat’s favorite “street foods”. She took it for lunch the next day.

Be safe and well.

After medical scan and meeting with church management (my bosses, part-time).

Chili and Rice

Rainbow Drive-In, meat is chunky, a good thing. 🙂

A package of Korean rice condiment (“furikake”?).

Package

The Cat’s rice bowl with the “sprinkles”.

Rice

The main difference between Japanese furikake and the Korean condiment, the Korean condiment seems fried with a lot of oil, the Japanese furikake is just dried. The Korean seaweed has a shorter shelf life once opened, due to the oil. Can’t compare, both are good. 🙂

Does anyone know what the Korean condiment is called? Much mahalo.

The rice went with leftover oxtail soup, with watercress enhancement.

Oxtail Soup with Watercress

Be safe and well.
