Jus’ thrown together for dinner. Kinda cleaning out the freezer. Remnants of frozen vegetables (a little bit of this and that).

Tuna Salad? and Banana

Frozen soybeans, black-eyed peas, mixed vegetables, fresh celery, grape tomatoes, canned tuna. Salt and pepper to taste.

That’s it for now.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Mudd Pie First

Kinda, since The Mouse’s roadside stop pretty much covered the fruits for the week (see previous post), Sunday farmers market was a quicky (The Cat still wanted papaya).

Too early for our semi-usual lunch stop at Ruby Tuesday, but still serving breakfast.

The Cat’s Plate

The Mouse’s Plate

Two eggs served with two made-from-scratch biscuits, and your choice of one protein and one side. The Mouse chose crispy hash browns and applewood pork belly. The pork belly? Awesome. Had to save some for later. 🙂

And of course, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, finished with.

Mudd Pie

Enjoy. Eat well.

In the neighborhood, a couple of streets over.

House Front Display

All from the family’s backyard. Pocket money.

The Mouse’s haul.

All for $5.00!

A whole hand of bananas, three guava, three lilikoi. Owner was going to charge me $4.50, left him the change, heard young children playing in the house. Still awesome deal.

Enjoy. Eat well.

This week was a little meatier for The Mouse than usual. Hee hee.

Leftover Hamburger Patty from Ruby Tuesday

Ordered rare so that when warmed in the toaster oven, it’s just right. Topped with Vegemite and pan-fried (braised?) onions. Used the pickling “juice” from one of the Picnics from the Vine bottles as the braising liquid. Yum!

Sausage and Onions

Sausages from the grocery store, not sure if the sausages were made in-house, salty, slightly spicy, sweet. The leftover pickle braised onions. Nom!

Char Siu Pork Belly

Look at the char!

Same grocery store, definitely made in-house. According to one of the grocers, one of the managers used to work as a chef and got tired of the schedule, now works in grocery and cooks on the side. Yay!

The Cat bought a case on clearance.

Fizzy Lemon Water

The Mouse is not fond. The Mouse likes fresh lemon in still water, but this can is a little bleh.

Stevia

But, a packet of that and it’s all good. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.
