I’ve posted about this place previously.
I wasn’t planning to post about them again. However, the owner just sold the restaurant (effective December 1st). I didn’t mind their buffet lunches, occasionally (the menu was always the same, couldn’t go too often). But what they did offer was decent.
In the upper left hand corner of the plate is stewed okra, onions, bell peppers, and tomato sauce. It was love at first taste. Coming from a Chinese background, I wasn’t exposed to stewed vegetables (except for pasta sauce). The vegetable stew was a revelation. From there I went to ratatouille (both the dish and the movie). Awesome.
As always, lunch ended with a serving of rice pudding.
Cinnamon flavored and topped with ground pistachios. Refreshing.
The previous owner has been asked to stay on for awhile to help with the transition and the new owner is keeping the menu in place (we’ll see how that goes).
Fare thee well Pyramids, it was nice knowing you.
Enjoy.
