The Mouse learned something new. Slicing onions from shoot to root (north to south) is less tearful than slicing east to west.

The Mouse sliced half an onion, little to none eye irratation.

Sliced Onions

The Mouse sautéed the onion with the last of the leftover bacon steak.

Bacon and Onion on Pita

A drizzle of yellow mustard. Mmm.

If The Mouse had planned better, he would have sprinkled a little bit of instant coffee while sautéing. The Mouse loves the combination of bacon and coffee.

So, this method only works with sliced onions. If dicing or garnishing sandwiches or burgers? All bets are off. 😦

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse’s bowl. Mmm.

Fish and Rice

Canned tuna (mixed with the rice), smoked salmon, anchovies, and pickled pepper (for contrast). Nom.

The tuna was packed without oil, oil would’ve tasted better. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Macaroni and Tuna

With frozen vegetables, salted bamboo shoot, olive oil, and two won ton just because. One of the advantages/disadvantages of working from home. The Mouse can eat whatever he wants, but sometimes it’s “boring” to post. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse’s lunch. A package of instant noods, forgotten in the back of the pantry. Normally, The Mouse doesn’t use the seasoning soup pack, too much salt, doctor’s orders.

Roasted/toasted Brussels sprouts and tomato with oil, salt (just a little bit), and pepper.

Bowl of Noodles

Instead of the soup packet, The Mouse used wakame and a dash of lower sodium shoyu (just a dash) for broth.

Slurp.

Stay safe and well.

Fruit Cocktail?

According to the labels, no sugar added, just pineapple juice. 🙂

The Mouse’s leftover lunch.

Leftover Pork Chop

The pork chop, leftover from The Cat’s Friday lunch, pita, and pickled peppers. Mmm. The Mouse not complaining. 🙂

Stay safe and well.
