The Mouse threw together a no-recipe bowl.

The Mouse’s Lunch

White rice, macaroni stars and letters, Vienna sausage, onion, carrot, seaweed, salt and pepper to taste.

Probably not a bowl for everyone, but The Mouse liked. 🙂

Be safe and well.

The Mouse learned this no-recipe from his father. Father thought it was gourmet. Hee hee.

Onion

Rough Chopped

Tin of Sardines

Must be packed in oil, not water.

After the onion is softened over medium heat and a little bit of oil. Add the whole can of sardines, including the packing oil, mash the sardines. Season to taste. The Mouse added black pepper and paprika.

Piled over steamed rice.

Mouse Lunch

Best would have been a little capers for garnish. None in the refridge, sweet relish as an acceptable substitute. Mmm! 🙂

Be safe and well.

Weather, a little cooler than usual. The Mouse wanted vegetable soup.

Frozen spinach, peas and carrots, oatmeal (for body, in place of cream), instant miso soup. No-recipe, thrown together.

Spinach Soup

Quick and easy peasy. Thick-cut buttered toast on the side. Mmm.

Be safe and well.

Quick Jook

Comfort food for The Cat. Nothing fancy, no recipe.

Pre-cooked rice, wakame seaweed, mustard green, salt, toasted sesame seed oil.

Quick Jook

Boil water, add rice. Turn off heat, let sit for fifteen-twenty minutes (allows rice to hydrate and absorb water). Bring jook to medium simmer, add mustard green, wakame, stir for a couple of minutes. Top with sesame oil to serve. Easy peasy.

Stay safe and well.
