The Mouse eats.
The Mouse ran an errand nearby, a detour into 7-Eleven before going home.
7-Eleven is building a new store closer to home, good news or bad news, maybe a little of both. Hee hee.
Dinner from the grocery store, Foodland. Mmm.

A musubi/bento shop in the neighborhood. The Mouse occasionally picks up an ume (pickled plum) musubi “sandwich”. On the counter are a couple of corn dogs labeled “Hokkaido” corndog. A “normal” corndog sprinkled with sugar. The was skeptical but willing to try try.
The shop makes musubi more like rice sandwiches. Hee hee.
So, The Hokkaido corndog was okay, a little too sweet for The Mouse. If buy again, The Mouse would compliment the sugar with a light sprinkle of Korean red chili pepper powder (Gochugaru?), fine ground. Add a bit of color and small amount of heat. 🙂

The Mouse had a minor food hunt snafu over the weekend. Ended up buying a vegetable plate from the Korean take-out at the nearby shopping mall.
Cucumber kimchi (very mild), rolled egg omelet, pickled seaweed, salted cabbage, braised potato (for The Cat’s bento). Mmm! A good detour.
Because The Mouse wanted a little starch, not too much.
Not from 7-Eleven, from the local grocery store. Bonus, it was day-end priced. 🙂

7-Eleven, currently conveniently located en route between home and contract work. Dunno if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, maybe a little of both. Hee hee.
Hawaiian Weiner Musubi and fried fish musubi, both just over five dollars. Cheap eats. 🙂

The Mouse did some contract work over the weekend. The Mouse’s opinion, more than full-time work, part-time schedule, always behind.
Picked up a quick lunch from 7-Eleven (on route).
The Mouse’s opinion again, better than a Filet-o-Fish, and cheaper too. 🙂
Speaking of which.
The Mouse picked one up for dinner, strictly for comparison purposes, hee hee.
No cheese, light tartar sauce, add pickles. The Mouse’s preferences.
