Salad Bar

The Cat was in the mood. Don’t we’ve seen a salad bar in over two years (because of the thing that cannot be named).

Salad Bar Plate

Due to staff constraints and supply chain issues, the salad bar was not as well-stocked or pristine as days gone by. But, given the circumstances, the salad bar “scratched the itch”. Hee hee.

The Cat ordered the tilapia with creamy shrimp sauce.

Tilapia with Baked Potato

The Mouse added three sides to his salad bar order for an additional three bucks.

Three Sides

Broccoli, two baked potatoes. Most of the sides went home for future meals. Good deal! 🙂

Be safe and well.

Kinda. Last month’s special at Ruby Tuesday, all pasta dishes discounted. The Cat and The Mouse made it in on the last day.

Grilled Chicken and Brocolli Pasta

All of the pasta selections contained dairy, The Mouse went with an alternative.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Baked Potato

A very good alternative to a burger (and a dollar or so cheaper). Baked potato substituted for fries (and amout 200 calories less). Less less, win win. Hee hee.

Be safe and well.

Ruby Tuesday at the mall. The Mouse had his usual classic hamburger with baked potato instead of fries. The Cat ordered the triple play plate figuring she would have leftovers for the week (cubicle eats).

Triple Play Plate

Half-rack of baby back ribs, chicken fingers, fried shrimp. The Cat didn’t know the chicken and shrimp were deep-fried, so kinda meh, The Mouse had to help.

Of course no trip to Ruby Tuesday without an order of mud pie. The Mouse took two lactase enzyme pills and shared less than 1/4. Good results. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Norman’s Saimin

On the menu at the locally owned Ruby Tuesday.

Norman’s Saimin

From the menu: Soy base, roasted pork, steamed dumpling, choy sum, then topped with green onions.

From the bartender: one of the owner’s friends said that he would never eat in his restaurant because there was no saimin. Owner put Norman’s Saimin on the menu in his honor. Pretty good story yeah?

The Mouse thinks especially during this time (and hopefully throughout the year), it is important to remember and value family and friends. 🙂

The Cat had her normal half-rack of baby back ribs.

Mango Kiawe Sauce, Dirty Rice, Broccoli

During this holiday season (your choice), The Cat and The Mouse wish you joy, faith, and all the good.

Stay safe and well.
