The Mouse bought a Swiss Army knife, mainly for the can opener and file function. Came in handy yesterday, The Mouse needed a can opener and still didn’t want to wrestle with the WWII style can opener.

The Mouse took it slow, the process is still scary but doable.

“Macgyvered” not “John Wicked”. Hee hee. The Mouse still needs practice. Lots.

Stay well and safe.

The Mouse took a can of spinach to work yesterday as part of his lunch … forgot the can opener. Found one in his drawer.

Can Opener

Not using that type of can opener before, The Mouse saw scenes of “Black Rain” and “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” play in his head and passed on the can for lunch. Had the can for dinner where there was little risk of disaster.

At Last 🙂

Along with the dinner, The Mouse picked up a crispy pork sandwich from the neighborhood Italian eatery.

Crispy Pork Sandwich

Crispy pork, toasted brioche bun, arugula, tomato, caramelized Marsala onion. red pepper aioli. The Mouse got lost in translation. He had visions of porchetta with chicharrones – melt in you mouth pork belly with crispy bits. turned out the crispy pork was a deep-fried pork chop (very lean). The Mouse think it was good, especially the arugula, onions, aioli, and the bun, but it could have been sooooooo much better.

The Cat had a bowl of seafood bisque, sample from the warehouse.

Portioned for one serving. Could be heated in bag.

The Cat slurped.

Stay safe and well.

Since yesterday was a holiday, opened the can of jackfruit from the warehouse.

First experience of jackfruit for both The Cat and The Mouse. Kinda meh. Maybe fresh is better? The Mouse cannot picture this as substitute for pulled pork. More research and tasting needed?

The Mouse also toasted the last of the frozen chocolate croissants. Also from the warehouse.

Oh well, try try. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Try Try

The Mouse bought.

Tempted from a couple of weeks ago. Shape is round so The Mouse is thinking frying a slice on a burger. Stay tuned.

Since he was here, bought dinner.

Seasoned Turnip Tops, Shrimp Patty Katsu Bento

The turnip tops was both spicy and fermented with bean paste. Could be probiotic? Hee hee. Bento was late bird discounted. Cheap eats.

The Mouse also made instant miso soup. Cold weather (relatively).

Instant Miso Soup

The Cat ate dinner at the office. Tax season has begun.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse spotted these at the Korean grocery store.

Can #1

Can #2

The Mouse is tempted and confused. Loyalty to SPAM and wanting to try something new. Have you tried either one? Any thoughts? Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
