Yesterday, The Mouse attended his employer’s annual conference, as a volunteer, to get a feel of the culture of the organization. Long story short, The Mouse is working as a contract-to-hire since beginning of summer. Best part? The Mouse gets to work from home. 🙂

Anyway, organization holds an annual convention for their “stakeholders” and The Mouse offered to help.

Breakfast:

Pastry, Fruit, Coffee

Free is free. Hee hee.

Lunch:

Eggplant and Tofu Bento

The Mouse went with the vegetarian option, didn’t want to eat too heavy and fall asleep in the afternoon. Only issue, the eggplant was still crunchy, a little bitter, but still edible, just different.

Conference adjourned early afternoon. The Mouse picked up dinner, old school drive inn.

Pink Pie Box

Old school right?

Deluxe Japanese Plate Lunch

Shrimp tempura, beef teriyaki, mochiko chicken, sashimi. The sashimi makes the plate deluxe. All for a little over $10.00. Good deal. Mmm! The Mouse, happy. 🙂

Be safe, eat good.

The Mouse had a fish day.

Breakfast.

Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Fruit

Lunch.

Fish Bento

With vegetable gyoza. Not the best (pre-packed food inherently has quality issues), but cheap enough. Hee hee.

Dinner.

Poke

The Mouse had a good day. 🙂

Be safe and well.

The Mouse ate two of the scones in one day, a little too much.

Lunchtime

Blueberry scone with instant coffee, these scones are huge. There was also a non-descript Subway sandwich involved.

Dinnertime

This time the scone was passion fruit flavor. The Mouse made a stuffed pita with braised pork and pickled cucumber (from a jar).

For balance, The Mouse also ate an Asian pear.

Asian Pear

The Mouse was stuffed for the day. Two down, two more to go. the Cat is taking a scone for breakfast today. One more to go.

Before The Mouse forgets. Shop information.

Stay safe and well.

Busy Day

The Mouse had a”busy” day, just not food-related. breakfast was leftover coffee, refrigerated, and a bargain biscuit (4 for little over a buck).

Biscuit

Used the last of the Liliha Bakery neon jelly. 🙂

Lunch was Subway take-out along with MickyD coffee on the way to contract work. Bought another sub sandwich for a homeless man that roams the neighborhood.

Late dinner, The Cat and The Mouse shared a combo take-out plate, mapo tofu and chicken katsu. Enough leftover for a partial bento for The Cat.

Not an exciting day food-wise but that’s life sometimes. Hee hee.

Hope today is a bit more exciting.

Stay safe and well.

Plan A

Last in the series. Finally.

Zippy’s. Small wait.

SPAM Katsu Curry Plate

Battered deep-fried SPAM slices covered with Japanese style curry, rice and mac salad.

The Mouse glad he tried. If he had a choice, he prefers the eggplant curry. The Mouse’s opinion the strong SPAM and curry flavors fought each other while the eggplant had a softer neutral flavor that cooperated with the curry. But still, try try. 🙂

Stay safe and well.
