Plan A

Last in the series. Finally.

Zippy’s. Small wait.

SPAM Katsu Curry Plate

Battered deep-fried SPAM slices covered with Japanese style curry, rice and mac salad.

The Mouse glad he tried. If he had a choice, he prefers the eggplant curry. The Mouse’s opinion the strong SPAM and curry flavors fought each other while the eggplant had a softer neutral flavor that cooperated with the curry. But still, try try. πŸ™‚

Stay safe and well.

The local Ruby Tuesday is promoting its local eats menu. Free dessert for two local eats entrΓ©e ordered. So of course, The Cat and The Mouse had to try. πŸ™‚

Roast Pork

Slow roasted pork, rice, and steamed broccoli. The Cat thought the pork was a tiny bit on the dry side. The Mouse thought the pork was okay, just not Chinese roasted pork belly with crispy skin.

Hamburger Steak

“Fully loaded” with two hamburger patties, onion and mushroom gravy, dirty rice, and steamed broccoli. The Mouse was happy and full.

Mudd Pie

The Cat’s favorite. πŸ™‚

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse was MIA yesterday, helping The Cat on a rush order. While not entirely on the scale of Rogue One …

Sunday lunch eats, after a somewhat “difficult” errand, Taiwanese style tea shop, The Cat wanted something soupy.

Braised Minced Pork Rice Noodle Soup
Braised Minced Pork on Rice

To The Mouse, the pork was kinda like if Zippy’s chili was dry without beans or mapo tofu without the tofu, also dry. Not bad.

Fried Dumplings

Very good, except The Cat had to limit since the filling contained chives (not digestible). The Mouse liked.

Taiwan Omelette with Dried Pork

Best dish of the day. Crepe, scrambled egg, dried pork floss, cucumber. The Mouse tried this once before as take-out. Eat-in was much better.

The Mouse is looking for his own droid for the next time. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Some of our recent take-outs. πŸ™‚

From Chef P., dessert.

Tapioca Pudding with Berries

The Mouse thinks Chef made this for The Cat’s birthday (a couple of weeks ago), Chef forgot. The tapioca was more boba-ish (chewy) than tapioca (soft), but still appreciated.

Tamago, Inari, and Poke

The Mouse’s lunch yesterday, from the grocery store reduced section. Just stocked, totally worth it. Hee hee.

The Mouse went to the nearby mall to pick a card, decided to pick dinner at the food court, ramen shop ran out of rice (sigh), picked side dishes.

Pork Belly and Takana

Boiled a carrot, added wakame, angel hair pasta, topped with pork belly and takana (mustard cabbage cooked with sesame oil and a little shichimi togarashi (Japanese chili powder blend).

Bowl of Noodles (Pasta)

The Cat slurped.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse picked up a try try package from the Japanese grocery store.

Seasoned Bamboo

The Mouse wasn’t sure how to use, the ingredients seemed to point to the Japanese salty, sweet, umami taste so The Mouse used the package to base broth for The Cat’s soup. Added Shanghai cabbage for vegetable.

“Instant” Soup

The Cat didn’t seem to mind. πŸ™‚

Stay safe and well.
