The Cat and The Mouse played “tourist” for last Sunday dinner (since Monday was a no-work day). Tried new-ish Mexican place in Waikiki. Supposedly specializing in “Coastal Mexican” cuisine (more fish and seafood?). James Beard recognized chef.
Just made it for happy hour.
.
.
Smoked Chicken, Mole de Tamarindo
Slow-Cooked Pono Pork Cochinita Pibil
Local Catch of The Day ‘al Pastor’, Pineapple
Queso Fresco, Tortillas, Avocado, Frijoles, Romaine Crispy Garlic.
Honey, Salted Caramel.
Kinda pricey for the meal, but, in Waikiki, “tourist” prices. Missing was The Cat’s favorite beans and rice.
Try try.
Enjoy. Eat well.
