Also known as “throw everything in the pot/bowl” meal. But since it’s October … Hee hee.

To begin, yesterday’s massive plate lunch.

Plate Lunch

Bulgogi, galbi, BBQ chicken, sides, and rice. Enough for at least 2 1/2 (or more) meals. Warehouse owner continues to support small business customers by partially paying for Wednesday lunches. Good deal.

The Mouse’s bowl last night, a little bit of lunch, a little bit of roast pork and char siu (see previous post), a little bit of freezer vegetable, and a little bit of freezer won ton.Β

The Mouse’s Bowl

Nom! Missing two bolts, lightening, and kamaboko. Hee hee.

For color, The Mouse’s fruit dish.

Fruit

Yellow kiwi and Mandarin orange. πŸ™‚

Stay safe and well.

Late afternoon doctor appointment. Not virus related. Close to a Chinese take-out with very positive reviews. The Mouse try try.

Sign

Located in a former Sports Authority cavern that’s been subdivided into a bazaar-like space. One of the few place The Mouse could find that serves Hainan Chicken (one of The Cat’s favorite).

Hainan Chicken and Rice

The Cat’s bento today. The Mouse just had to cook/pack vegetables. πŸ™‚

Since he was there … hee hee.

Spicy Won Ton

The Mouse ordered mild, still had a kick (in a good way). Four paws up! Will definitely return. There’s a braised brisket on rice that is tempting.

Hopefully The Mouse can get another visit/order in before the city goes into full lockdown. 😦

Wishing all safety and health.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse had to satisfy his “dumpling” craving. The Mouse had a “forced” half day off. HeΒ  didn’t know he had a “float” day from the warehouse, “use it or lose it” by the end of the year. Although the holiday season is “dark”, supervisor allowed two half days.

The Mouse headed to Chinatown, Hunan restaurant for dumplings!

Won Ton Soup

Way better than PF Chang’s, but still kinda meh. Not bad won ton still better than none. Hee hee.

Steamed Dumplings

Pretty good, maybe a little too much garlic? The vinegar dip complimented the jaozi well. πŸ™‚

For a change up in texture, The Mouse added eggrolls. I know, not “Chinese” food, but The Mouse wanted something crunchy.

Eggrolls

Fried to order, crunchy like glass and lava hot. Nom!

Oh, and the fig and nut bread from yesterday?

Fig and Nut Bread Toast

Nice, just a hint of sweet and the right amount of nuts for The Mouse, The Cat on the other paw would probably want more nuts.

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse had an unexpected half day off from work yesterday. Decided to do a bit of Christmas shopping, sooooo much traffic. Bleh!

Super late lunch, needed comfort food. Kin Wah Chop Suey!

Won Ton Mein in Gravy

Lots of vegetables and pork, and gravy! Yes, there is won ton and noodles buried underneath.

See?

Also stopped next door at the Japanese/local poke shop deli for dindin later.

Sweet Potato

For The Cat.

Jello Cup

Recently, The Mouse has a renewed appreciation for Jello. This one was Christmas colored with Mandarin oranges. Delux version. Hee hee.

Off to the dentist, and maybe more Christmas shopping, maybe. Or just do it on-line. Hmm serious consideration.

Enjoy. Eat well.
