2 skewers of kebab over seasoned Basmati rice, with 2 side salads, Uzbek bread, yogurt sauce, & fresh greens.

Cabbage Rolls

Goluptsi: 2 pieces beef & rice stuffed cabbage rolls.

The Cat wants to go back and try their soups.

Nor horse, nor SUV either.

Had to head into downtown today. Compared with weekdays, sorta a ghost town, a good thing. New eating place popped up on Yelp.


Intrigued. Never tried Uzbek cuisine before.

Stuffed Cabbage, Roasted Vegetables, Tomato Cucumber Salad, Marinated Carrot, Uzbek Naan Wedge

Pretty tasty (stuffed cabbage was one of Pop’s favorite dishes). The stuffed cabbage didn’t have tomato sauce (what The Mouse is used to), but very comforting. Definite order again. The vegetables and salads were great too! One sock off.

Good thing the nearby Walmart offers free parking on Saturdays (and yes, I did do a little shopping at Walmart).

Have to find more reasons to get into downtown on Saturdays. 🙂

Maybe The Mouse will download Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble on the phone next time. Hee hee.
