There was a leftover cucumber in the refridge. The Mouse decided to make a cucumber sandwich.

Cucumber Sandwich

Not the afternoon tea version, The Mouse version. Whole wheat bread, slightly toasted, Japanese mayonnaise, thinly sliced cucumber, sea salt, paprika, dried dill, crust on. No tea. Hee hee.

The Mouse picked up a container of tofu poke to accompany the cucumber sandwich.

Tofu Poke with Ogo

Kind of a vegetarian meal. 🙂

Be safe and well.

The Cat’s order:

Butterfish Misoyaki

The Mouse’s order:

The Mouse has a new-ish phone, for some reason, The Mouse dunno why, whenever a pic is taken, there are several other files that show up. The Mouse got mixed up and didn’t see some of the izakaya pics to download. Let’s just call this post izakaya part 2. Sigh.

House Made Tofu with Shoyu Jelly

One of their signature starters. Mmm.

Monkfish Liver

You know monkfish liver? Looks like something Stephen King might dream up? Anyways, the liver has been called foie gras of the sea. The Mouse gave his portion to The Cat’s schoolmate, first time try. Nom!

Fish Bone Chips

Another of the izakaya’s signature appetizers. Mixed in are sardine chips, also deep fried. Both are nom. Hee hee.

Ok, that’s all the pics from the izakaya eats. The Mouse says too much technology, The Cat says operator error.

Stay safe and well.

Stay safe and well.

The Cat’s lunch the other day.

Beef Stir-Fry

From an Irish pub/restaurant. Go figure.

The Cat said the dish was well cooked.

The Mouse is not surprised. Many moons ago, when The Mouse was small-kid time, there used to be two shops, owned by the same Chinese man, one sold fish and chips, and one sold pastrami and corned beef sandwiches.

The Mouse dunno how “authentic” the food was, tasted great. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.
