A break from the Sunday routine. Lunch with friends in town. Lobster King.

High two?

Picture on the wall. The Mouse thought it was hilarious. Hee hee.

Restaurant also runs a wholesale business. Comped us a plate of Samoan crab to introduce/promote.

Another challenging dish for The Mouse. Not as severe as the crab, The Mouse tried an easy piece. More for The Cat and friends.

A spur of the moment dish.


Peeled and rough cut, boiled in slightly salted water until the eggplant “falls apart”. Boil soft tofu until the tofu falls apart. Drain both eggplant and tofu, combine with salt, curry powder, and coconut oil.

Packed The Catʻs lunch with ancient grains, canned corn, toasted black sesame seeds, yesterdayʻs kale and chickpea curry, and the eggplant and tofu curry.

Squishy Food, Part I

Aaaaand we’re back, rebooted both the computer and the phone (and took a shower while waiting, sorry, TMI).

I thought technology was supposed to be … whatever (don’t get me started) especially at work.

Anyways, tonight, no recipe.

Chopped Tofu

Firm tofu, green onions, sesame seeds, Himalayan pink salt, fresh ground pepper, and sesame oil. Mix, eat.

A couple of pages on the internet included shoyu, but that would’ve changed the color, wanted to keep it “white”.

Not pretty, but easy to eat.

Not too much happening in the kitchen this week, for a variety of reasons.

BBQ Tofu

From the campus grab-n-go shop. Not bad, I think the tofu was baked. Too bad they didnʻt put a little char on it. I know the kogi bit wouldʻve brought out flavor and texture.

For The Catʻs lunch. Still trying to perfect the dish. Might take a lifetime.
