The Mouse (and The Cat)

The plan was The Cat was supposed to meet our writer friend (M) for lunch, Vietnamese food. His car breaks down and they end up at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers. Not one of The Cat’s favorite food genre (I know, probably misused the word, but kinda fit 🙂 ).

She ended up ordering a salad.

Disregard the burger in the background, that’s belongs to M.

A “better” view.

The "Mousie Bag" Salad

Teri chicken and bacon. Not bad.

Coffee Shake

Coffee Shake

Very thick, almost had to eat it with a spoon, brain freeze. Slurp.

The Mouse brought lunch from home (that’s a switch).

The last installment (of the first visit) from the odd little sushi and bakery shop.

Blueberry Muffin and Coffee Jello or Pudding

Blueberry Muffin and Coffee Jello or Pudding

The Cat’s breakfast yesterday. The top of the jello looks lumpy because the whipped cream melted. She thought it was a little too sweet. But gotta try.

The Mouse’s day was a little weird. Work and food-wise.

Pulled an eleven-plus hour day. Toooooo tired.

Breakfast was grilled eggplant with miso from the clearance section at Diamond Head Market and Grill.

I know I can do this one better (I like more char), but for the convenience it works.

Lunch.

Here

Kalua pork and cabbage, okay that’s pretty standard, with egg, hmm, that’s different. Try try.

Plate Lunch

Plate Lunch

Accompanied by brown rice and their version of potato salad. Not bad, reminded me of Okinawan chanpuru. Kinda Japanese tourist-sized, less local mouse sized. 🙂

Except for that eleven hours, the day was not bad (food-wise). Oh well, win some …

Enjoy. Eat well.

“Burnt”? (Finished Product)

The Cat said it’s not “burnt”, that’ how it’s supposed to be. Uhm … okay? Supposed to be a topping for noodles.

The Cat seemed to like it. More for her.

“Practice make perfect”

Enjoy. Eat well.

Tuesday: Tuna!

Just a couple or three recent lunches.

Tuna Croissant

La Palme D’or at the mall (ran over to pick up The Cat’s Valentine’s Day present).

#11 - Tuna, Bacon, Avocado Sandwich

#11 – Tuna, Bacon, Avocado Sandwich

Plaza Clubhouse, around the block from the office. Semi-known for their double-decker sandwiches (even if most of the ingredients come from a big box store. 😉

Both very good. Definitely worth repeating.

Furikake Crusted Ahi Sandwich

The Cat’s lunch last week (no stratified view). The Pineapple Room by Alan Wong. I think my two sandwiches cost maybe half The Cat’s? She still  has the advantage though, a colleague treated.

Enjoy. Eat well.
