The Mouse thinks this are the last pics from The Cat’s schoolmate visit. The Cat chose Okinawan food for dinner one night.

Goya Chanpuru

Bittermelon w/Tofu & Eggs, choice of meat, The Mouse chose bacon. Hee hee. The smokiness of the bacon perfectly complemented the bittermelon.

Nasubi Chanpuru

Eggplant w/Tofu & Green Onions, choice of meat, this time shoyu pork. Mmm!

Soki Soup

Pork Spareribs, Daikon, Konbu & Cabbage. Comfort food. 🙂

Last but certainly no least,

Nori Wrapped Ahi Tempura

Ahi w/Mayonnaise & Kabayaki Sauce drizzle. Our server’s favorite dish. He did not disappoint. While the dish may not be our favorite, we normally eat Okinawan cuisine for the comfort/homestyle vibe, the tempura was a welcome contrast to the soups and stews. The Mouse would order again. 🙂

Stay safe and well.

Plan B

The Mouse is counting up (see previous post). Hee hee.

Eggplant curry rice.

Eggplant Curry Rice

Good that the restaurant packed the curry separately, the eggplant didn’t get soggy. Paws up!

Restaurant extending their 20th anniversary special from last year, eggplant tempura at 99 cents and shrimp tempura for $1.99. Yes please.

Eggplant and Shrimp Tempura

Original plan was the extra was for The Cat’s dinner, but she got home way late and the container ended up in the refridge. The Mouse will probably eat it later.

Is Plan A today? Dunno yet.

Stay safe and well.

Sunday Lunch

For reasons too long to explain (let’s just say Christmas time kinda gets hectic), ended up eating here.

Old school neighborhood eatery.

The Mouse tried once before, first time for The Cat.

Fans and umbrellas everywhere.

Although not as old, kinda reminded The Cat of Manago Hotel on big island.

The Cat’s Order

Miso butterfish and tempura combo.

The Mouse’s Order

Pork Tofu and tempura combo.

The Cat and The Mouse both agree tempura is their specialty.

Enjoy. Eat well,

The Cat comes home today. The Mouse started Christmas shopping last night. Only time The Cat wouldn’t see what The Mouse buys for her. I think The Mouse did well.

Who said eating vegetables had to be boring? Hee hee. Nom!

Enjoy. Eat well.

HNL>>PVG via NRT

The Cat went to visit her elderly relatives (before they become ancestors, if you catch my drift). Last dinner at SPAMland.

One of the reasons the place was picked was because The Cat likes the bathroom, alas, the woman’s restroom just had a regular WC (must’ve broke and been replaced).

Luckily, the man’s side still had the technology.
