“Sushi” from the local kaiten outlet.

Inari and Tamago Sushi

Japanese McD anyone? Kinda ya?

Inari and tamagoyaki sushi all time favorites of The Mouse.

Part of The Mouse’s “homemade” teishoku dinner tray.

Kaiten Sushi, Banana, Kiwi, Celery, Crackers, Tuna Salad

Finger food. 🙂

TV dinner or teishoku? For The Mouse, kinda same same tonight. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Made it!

Sign

One of their menu items is beef tongue and bone marrow bibimbap. The Mouse really wanted to try. Alas, only for dinner.

Stayed for lunch. Scouting mission for future?

Lunch Menu

Simple. Teishoku or rice bowl. Check off selections. Kinda like going to dim sum. Hee hee.

Even the table decoration incorporates with the menu.

Cute ya?

Choice of entree and soup, rice and two sides included.

The Cat’s Teishoku

Smoked pork steak with sweet ginger sauce.

High point on The Cat’s tray was the soup.

Minestrone Soup

The Cat proclaimed “best minestrone ever!”

The Mouse’s Teishoku

House-made roast beef with grated daikon radish. Nom!

There were even onions (underneath the roast beef) to compliment the meat.

Yuzu Sorbet

The Mouse had to try. Hee hee. Excellent.

Going back for the beef tongue and bone marrow bibmbap. Soon!

Enjoy. Eat well.

A few of The Cat’s eating “adventures”, the misses.

Tempura udon.

Sides

Head-on shrimp, bean sprouts, soy beans.

Tempura on the Side

So it doesn’t get soggy in the dashi broth.

Bowl of Udon

The Cat felt severely overpriced.

On another day …

Pork Belly Stir-Fry Teishoku

Again, overpriced. Too much onions, both in the stir-fry and raw.

Lastly.

The Cat bought a bag of “mountain apples”, not knowing exactly what they are.

Mountain Apples

Not apples. The Mouse doesn’t care for the texture nor the taste. The Cat kinda has to finish the bag herself.

Oh well, I guess you do eat with your eyes first, but sometimes, the eyes deceive. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

This time it’s official. Last week it was noodles on the day (for long life). Last night, was The Mouse’s choice. Originally we were planning on izakaya but couldn’t decide which one. Last night’s choice (not izakaya, but still Japanese), while not “fancy” or “pricey”, still satisfying (especially dessert!)

The Place

The Place

Newly opened, used to be a food truck in the back of the property (the old Hinone Mizunone location).

The Cat’s Leftovers

She even had leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch.

Now, the dessert(s).

Nom!

Nom!

Tofu pudding with matcha syrup, homemade Japanese sponge cake, hot Shizuoka green tea, and black sesame ice cream. All awesome! The sesame ice cream had a salted caramel (salty/sweet) vibe going. Nom Yum! The teishoku was good, the desserts were awesome!

This concludes the January birthdays. 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.
