Holiday Prix Fixe

Morton’s The Steakhouse running a holiday dinner prixe fix dinner menu. One appetizer (half portion), one entrée, one side, one dessert.

Both The Cat and The Mouse started with jumbo shrimp cocktail.

Nom! Next time, The Mouse is going to request extra horseradish. Mmm!

Again, both The Cat and The Mouse ordered Ora king salmon.

This dish is nice because included is a bed of mixed vegetables (cauliflower, edamame, tomatoes, etc). Other steak dishes do not come with the vegetables (Manago hotel plating).

Desserts were different.

The cake lived up to its hype, legendary. 🙂 (The Cat got the ice cream).

DIY Hamburger

Ordered a take-home, raw hamburger from the steakhouse visit last weekend. The Mouse was curious, more so, the price was very reasonable for a 10 ounce patty.

The Mouse salt and peppered, made a divot, and cooked the burger on medium heat, no sear.

Included with the order was a brioche bun, even better.

The Mouse kept it simple, burger patty (cooked medium), yellow mustard, liver spread.

Mmm! The Mouse was extremely satisfied. Meat quality was out of this world, tender and juicy.

Sorry, no bite pic, after the first bite, too juicy, The Mouse got distracted. Given the opportunity, The Mouse would do it again. 🙂
