AKA scheduled maintenance. Hee hee.

Beach
Can you guess where?
Yup. Waikiki. Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel. Just to chill.
That’s why we could take a night and day picture of Friday night’s dinner spot (see previous post).
The Cat assigned The Mouse to search for eating places.
Breakfast.

Il Lupino
Weekend breakfast specials come with a glass of Prosecco.

To you Don Ho-Clink
Both The Cat and The Mouse ordered the combo.

Açaà Bowl
AçaÃ, soy milk, granola, and berries
And

Avocado Toast
Pugliese bread, extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, Hawaiian chili, and sea salt flakes.
For the price, its like we got the glass of bubbly for free. Woohoo.
A definite return place.
Good thing we didn’t have to drive, by the time we finished breakfast, both The Cat and The Mouse were a bit wobbly. Hee hee.
So, for a while, The Mouse has been looking at cars. None of the new cars has caught his eye yet (they all look the same).
I think I found a potential candidate.

The Mouse’s Dream Car
1957 Mini pick-up. Cute ya?
After exploring Waikiki for a couple of hours, lunch at a place that the cuz’s P&B liked.

Notice the shaka sign?
Note: we sat outside, under umbrellas, picture colors are a bit off.

The Cat’s Shrimp Salad

The Mouse’s Poi Pounder Burger

On Taro Bun
After a quick nap, we were on staycation after all, hunt for dinner.

Bills Sydney
The Cat wanted to try.

The Cat’s Salmon Salad
No lettuce. Herbs, green beans, salmon. The Cat liked.

The Mouse’s Braised Beef Shortribs
The dish was supposed to come with fries. What!? The restaurant may not be in tuned with local tastes, need rice! Server was kind enough to substitute brown rice.

Brown Rice
Dessert was pistachio pavlova?

Pistachio Pavlova
Kinda meringue-y, The Cat liked, The Mouse, not so much. But try try.
There you have it the complete day of eating on a staycation.
Enjoy. Eat well.
