Not a typical Sunday. Did not visit the farmers market, trek into town.

Breakfast at a place The Mouse been wanting to try for years. MAC 24/7. The Cat ordered mochi pancakes to try.

Mochi Pancakes

Soft and chewy, like a gummi bear. Hee hee. Leftover just as good. The Mouse would order these.

Funny, The Mouse couldn’t find breakfast to order, since it’s a diner concept, the whole menu is available “24/7”. The Mouse went with his standby BLT sandwich.

BLT on Wheat Toast

Very good, a sufficient amount of bacon, crispy. Fries were pretty good too.

A trip to the mall and lunch at another “diner”, Liliha Bakery at the mall.

The Cat’s turn, BLTA with add on lobster bisque.

BLTA on Crescent Bread

Again, a decent amount of bacon, not as crispy though. Still good.

Lobster Bisque

The Cat thinks for a diner, good job on the soup. The Mouse thinks The Cat found a new lunch spot when she’s at the mall.

The Mouse tried their signature hamburger steak.

With brown rice and green salad for balance

The Mouse likes. šŸ™‚

Enjoy. Eat well.

How The Cat and The Mouse spent the holiday, took a drive.

Drink Coaster

Hardly go/get to the west side of SPAM Land. There was a possible to visit to the Waikele outlet mall, but that was nixed, no parking whatsoever.

Hotel/Resort provided three hours free parking with purchase. So, knowing that the food’s gonna be expensive, probably overpriced … (but with “free” parking) …

Sign

Like their little sign in front of the hostess station. Cute.

Restaurant’s catch phrase is “experience line to table”. Hee hee.

The Cat’s Order

Crab melt. Gouda, sourdough, smoky tomato soup.

The Mouse’s Order

Fish tacos. Grilled daily fish (yesterday it was mahi). salsa verde, radish slaw.

Pleasantly surprised, food was extremely decent (but still pricey).

Side

Crispy Brussels sprouts. Soy glaze, bonito flakes. Not super crispy but charred very nicely. Yum!

Since we were “playinĀ tourist”, splurged.

Dessert

Chunky monkey. Banana mousse, peanut butter crunch, caramel, chocolate ice cream. Good. For The Mouse, only thing missing would’ve been a handfulĀ of honey roasted peanuts. Hee hee.

With the “generous” validation, The Cat walked around the property and even got to walk through next door’s Aulani Resort (owned by Mickey Mouse).

The experience did kinda put a dent in the wallet, but worth taking a break.

So, how was your holiday? (If you had a holiday)

Enjoy. Eat well.

Can you guess where?

Yup. Waikiki. Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel. Just to chill.

That’s why we could take a night and day picture of Friday night’s dinner spot (see previous post).

The Cat assigned The Mouse to search for eating places.

Pugliese bread, extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, Hawaiian chili, and sea salt flakes.

For the price, its like we got the glass of bubbly for free. Woohoo.

A definite return place.

Good thing we didn’t have to drive, by the time we finished breakfast, both The Cat and The Mouse were a bit wobbly. Hee hee.

So, for a while, The Mouse has been looking at cars. None of the new cars has caught his eye yet (they all look the same).

I think I found a potential candidate.

The Mouse's Dream Car

1957 Mini pick-up. Cute ya?

The dish was supposed to come with fries. What!? The restaurant may not be in tuned with local tastes, need rice! Server was kind enough to substitute brown rice.

Dessert was pistachio pavlova?

Kinda meringue-y, The Cat liked, The Mouse, not so much. But try try.
