Posts Tagged ‘Smoked Salmon’

Kinda a catch-all post.

The Mouse’s leftover breakfast.

Steamed Rice, Furikake, Smoked Salmon, Poke, Pickled Grapes

The Mouse didn’t have ume (hence the pickled grapes) nor capers. Other than that, mmm. 🙂

Fruit

Oranges and grapes, to balance the breakfast.

Lao-Thai Plate

The Cat had lunch with a business associate, he ordered the plate above, mild. Served too spicy, had to be sent back.

The Cat had better luck.

Caramelized Pork Bell

Braised pork belly with hard-boiled eggs, star anise, herbs and spices. The Mouse thinks Lao-Thai version of shoyu pork. Leftover for The Cat’s bento this week.

Be safe and well.

Breakfast.

Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Fruit

Lunch.

Fish Bento

With vegetable gyoza. Not the best (pre-packed food inherently has quality issues), but cheap enough. Hee hee.

Dinner.

Poke

The Mouse had a good day. 🙂

Be safe and well.

New-ish cafe/bistro in grocery store – Et Al (that’s the name of the eating place, go figure). The main dishes were alright, the appetizers were worth eating again.

Ludovico chicken liver mousse, strawberry
tomato jam, grilled sourdough.

The Mouse really liked the chicken liver. Good substitute for foie gras (The Mouse’s opinion). Definite order again, next time with more toast. Hee hee.

Little gem lettuces, smoked salmon,
pickled red onion, everything spice
breadcrumbs.

The kitchen was kind enough to substitute the caper buttermilk dressing for a lemon vinaigrette. Another order again item.

Hawaiian clam chowder, ulu, smoked meat,
clams, grilled sourdough.

The Cat’s soup. Clams so fresh. The Cat liked.

Stay safe and well.
