Made it!

One of their menu items is beef tongue and bone marrow bibimbap. The Mouse really wanted to try. Alas, only for dinner.

Stayed for lunch. Scouting mission for future?

Lunch Menu

Simple. Teishoku or rice bowl. Check off selections. Kinda like going to dim sum. Hee hee.

Even the table decoration incorporates with the menu.

Cute ya?

Choice of entree and soup, rice and two sides included.

The Cat’s Teishoku

Smoked pork steak with sweet ginger sauce.

High point on The Cat’s tray was the soup.

Minestrone Soup

The Cat proclaimed “best minestrone ever!”

The Mouse’s Teishoku

House-made roast beef with grated daikon radish. Nom!

There were even onions (underneath the roast beef) to compliment the meat.

Yuzu Sorbet

The Mouse had to try. Hee hee. Excellent.

Going back for the beef tongue and bone marrow bibmbap. Soon!

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Mouse’s dinner. Local Boy Sushi. Primarily catering with a small take-out window.

Big Bruddah Bowl

Not that big, shallow bowl, not quite enough rice. Ahi poke聽(decent), spicy tuna (decent), kalua pork (good), smoked pork (winner), unagi (weakest link), shrimp tempura (passable).

And, no stop at Local Boy Sushi without Mr. Lee’s hamburger (deluxe).

Mr. Lee’s Hamburger Deluxe

Super old school. 馃槈

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Cat came home with a package of fresh okra. The Cat is not so fond of okra, but The Mouse is. Although, The Mouse is more used to working with the frozen variety.

Decided to combine the okra with a week end semi clean out of the refridge.

In the Sink

Okra, celery, tomato.

Sliced all somewhat thin (the okra seeds kept falling out). Into a pan with a bit of smoked pork (also thinly sliced), and water (the okra started to stick to the pot).

Okra Rago没t with Celery, Tomato, Smoked Pork

Not really rago没t, kinda a hybrid saut茅, braise,聽rago没t method. Worked for The Mouse. 馃檪

Enjoy. Eat well.

The Cat worked late tonight. Plus trying to clear the refrig.

The Cat's Bowl

The Cat’s Bowl

Since The Cat likes “squishy” food, ancient grain “jook”, leftover pork chop, white stem cabbage, dried seaweed.

The Mouse not that enthused with “squishy” food.

The Mouse's Plate

The Mouse’s Plate

Ancient grains, smoked pork, pan charred celery, egg, and white stemmed cabbage garnish.

The Cat and The Mouse each like their respective dishes. 馃檪

Enjoy. Eat well.

Got home too late last night.

Still incorporating more greens. Yesterday, with a little help from my current favorite smoked purveyor, Pipikaula and Pickles.

Lunch.

Caesar Salad

Caesar Salad

Co-worker going on maternity and office brought in lunch for a send off.

A little addition to the salad.

Smoked Pork

Smoked Pork

A little leftover from home. Since the salad wasn’t going to hold The Mouse for the day.

Not bacon, but very close. Hee hee.

Dinner was more cleaning out the refrig.

Cabbage

Cabbage

Using a little stockpiled corned beef (from the freezer).
