Not too exciting, except for The Mouse. Lunch.

The Mouse had a portion of kalua pork in the freezer, no cabbage in the house, had an onion though.

Sliced the onion as thin as I could, The Mouse can always practice his knife skills. Hee hee.

Sliced Onions

The Mouse is quite sure the effort would not pass any of the chef’s inspection, oh well, still edible. Hee hee.

Stir-fried the onions on medium low heat until they started to caramelize, added the kalua pork to warm.

Lunch

Pork on the left, onions on the right. Mmm Nom! The Mouse ate straight from the pan (faster clean up), don’t tell The Cat.

For starch, The Mouse warmed a pita. Added a couple of shiso leaves for the token green. Hee hee.

Pita and Shiso

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse wanted the maguro burger from Sakura Terrace but didn’t want to drive into town for it. The Mouse settled with a twofer from Burger King.

Burger King Big Fish with Shiso Leaves

Truthfully though, The Mouse thinks this worked out for the better. Adding shiso leaves to an almost already perfect dish would not have improved the dish a whole lot.

However, adding shiso leaves to a fast-food sandwich, the improvement was noticeable and appreciated. 🙂

And the bonus? The Mouse has a left-over Whopper for another time. Hee hee.

“All’s well that ends well.”

Stay safe and well.

The shiso in the bucket is really thriving. For The Mouse, best way to eat shiso is first with sashimi, second in a sandwich. Right now, sandwiches seem easier to access. The Mouse was craving a fish sandwich, and since he was in the area, ordered a maguro burger.

While waiting, The Mouse took in the exterior “ambiance”. Hee hee.

Surf, Sumo, Musubi

Wall mural detail, seen in previous posting.

Rock Garden

Serenity near traffic. Hee hee.

The maguro burger usually comes with sweet potato fries but for take-out, The Mouse prefers salad if can. Restaurant accommodated.

Green Salad

The in-house dressing is really good.

Finally, the main eats.

Maguro Burger with Shiso

Lighting bad. The slaw was made with gobo (burdock). Mmm! This sandwich ruined other fish sandwiches for The Mouse. Hee hee.

Heading to work for a couple of hours. Hopefully the quiet will help.

Stay safe and well.
