Menu item at Chef H’s kitchen: Guest Chef “K” Special Chilled Seafood Pasta. The Mouse was a little concerned there was a potential coup d’รฉtat going on. Chef H responded with the “it’s all good” sign.

The Cat’s dinner:

Chilled Pasta

Angel hair pasta, onions, cucumber, tomato.

Seafood

Mussels, clams, smoked salmon, shrimp, tomato, prosciutto, Japanese yuzu pepper.

A lot of food. The Cat shared with The Mouse. Sauce was shoyu based, not whatever french sauce might be appropriate. reminded The Mouse of somen sauce. Different.

The Mouse wondered what the plating would look like if chef plated, not take-out. Really Instagram worthy. Hee hee.

Because The Cat’s stomach can’t take too much cold food and The Mouse wasn’t sure how much vegetables there would be, The Mouse made a simple vegetable soup.

Vegetable Soup

Fresh asparagus, wakame, salt, olive oil. The Mouse guesses the asparagus and wakame was a kinda French Japanese fusion too. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Another epic meal from one of our favorite chefs. A couple of weeks ago.

Amuse Bouche

House cured salmon. Mmm.

Pate Feuilletee En Escargot

Helix escargots, herb butter; cradled in a puff pastry.

Sauteed Rougie Foie Gras A L’ananas

The Mouse is definitely butchering the spelling and accents, sorry.

Robust foie gras, pineapple pan sauce, watercress, tomato, pickled red onion. Of the dishes, The Mouse liked this one the most.

Napolean of Kunoa Beef Tenderloin

Kona crab, pacific abalone, truffle Madeira sauce, salted lemon risotto, asparagus. A close second favorite.

Chocolate Souffle

Creme anglaise.

Memorable meal. Thanks Chef H! ๐Ÿ™‚

Stay safe and well.

Another “weird” Saturday schedule, expected for the holiday season. The Mouse’s car needed oil service. Early morning appointment. Bonus! dealership had free popcorn! The Mouse ate a small bag, no salt, no butter. ๐Ÿ™‚

Late breakfast, just missed the MickyD cutoff. “Filipino” take-out.

Meat Close Up

The Mouse chose fried rice, needed Lau Gan Ma, sausage and SPAM were well prepared, kitchen plated spinach instead of the onion and tomato salad, no vinegar dressing. Maybe kitchen thought since The Mouse wasn’t Filipino, tone down the flavors. That’s ok, spinach, wilted by the hot meat was good too (with a touch of Lau Gan Ma).

For dinner, went to our favorite Mexican restaurant on the Windward side. Not only for the food, but for the musical stylings of (never got his name). Have to ask next time.

First time for The Cat.

Giant Burrito

The Cat wanted to try, she surrendered after about a third. Remainder is for The Mouse’s bento tomorrow.

The Mouse ordered the usual fiesta bowl but this time with seafood (swai fish and shrimp).

Seafood Fiesta Bowl

No dairy, extra lime and salsa. The Mouse’s bowl was good, but he thinks he will be sticking to carnitas and chile verde in the future.

Farmers market and last minute Christmas shopping on the schedule today.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Just a few pics while The Mouse preps the others.

Setting the tone, atmosphere, “ambiance”.

Sunset

Sunset themed non-alcoholic cocktail.

Strawberry and Mango Slushie

After sunset.

Twilight

The Mouse: “Mine!”

Anchovies

Hmm, The Mouse going off on a tangent, anchovies, horseradish (or wasabi), and anchovies. Whatcha think?

Anyways, rushing off for more doctor ordered blood tests. Ugh!

Enjoy. Eat well.
