The Cat was Pleasantly Surprised

A break in Sunday’s routine. Went over the mountain to town, Waikiki specifically for an errand. Normally, The Cat and The Mouse stay home side and don’t go over the mountain on Sunday’s (have to do it on weekdays for work).

A last minute left turn “detour” to Hawai‘i’s Favorite Kitchens.

Hawaii’s Favorite Kitchens is a one-stop shop that has something for everyone! There is a wide a variety of local Hawaii food and product vendors, comprised of Poke Stop, Mikes Huli Chicken, KC Drive Inn, Shimazu Shave Ice, Hawaii Nostalgia Studio, and Rainbow Drive-In.

The Mouse ate here once before but didn’t think The Cat would. The star must’ve been aligned. The Cat was “starving”, “feed The Cat now!”

After some decision making, The Cat ordered a smoked salmon and tofu salad.

Smoked Salmon and Tofu Salad

Smoked salmon, tofu, watercress, sweet onions, carrot, tomato. Soy dressing.

Thinking the salad would be a side dish (no picture menu and “cheap” price), The Cat also ordered a chocolate peanut butter milk shake (KC Drive Inn). (No picture). The Cat’s total order. Just over eleven bucks. Cheap eats.

The Mouse ordered the “sampler”.

Brown rice, steamed vegetables, ahi limu poke, Mike’s chicken, BBQ pork. The Mouse nommed. 🙂

And the kicker? The Cat would return. 🙂
