Anytime Cafe, posted previously, closing in about a week.

The Cat wanted to try their baked pork chop before you know. The dish was also kinda recommended by my urologist. I know, go figure. Hee hee.

Baked Pork Chop

Rice, pork chop, lots of cheese, side salad and cheesy garlic bread. Not bad, The Cat was glad to try.

The Mouse decided on a rice plate, noodles would be harder to doggy bag home.

Mixed Plate

Rice, “gravy”, tendon, pig feet, choi summ. Both meats well cooked, the tendon super soft, the pig feet easy to eat. A portion went home for The Cat’s bento. The pig feet bones made a broth for The Cat’s dinner.

We asked why the restaurant was closing, lease issue.

Fare thee well Anytime Cafe.

Be safe and well.

Sunday eats after The Cat took a long nap. Neighborhood chop suey, recently re-opened to dining-in.

“Pancake Wrapping”

“Moo Shu Pork”

This dish was “funny”, not quite what The Cat was expecting. The Cat and The Mouse should have been warned, had to order moo shu pork off the menu. Maybe chef was “winging” it. Hmm. More “chop suey” than “moo shu”. Hee hee.

Moo Shu Roll

The Mouse needs practice assembling.

Sizzling Seafood

More vegetables than seafood. The Mouse ate all the squid, The cat cannot chew. Some shrimp, fake abalone, and fishcake were the other seafood. Decent for the price.

Fried Porkchop

Won Ton with Vegetables Soup

The Mouse hasn’t eaten won ton for a while.

Too much food for The Cat and The Mouse, lots of leftovers. Mmm! 🙂

Be safe and well.

Kinda spur of the moment eating event. The Cat had a couple of gift cards.

Table Lamp

So, restaurant is a steak house. Legend goes when the restaurant was getting ready to open, supplier shipped sleeping pigs instead of cows. Management was going to return it but the famous singer “Ol’ Blue Eyes” liked the pigs. The Pigs stayed. 😉

Prosecco

The Cat newly exploring prosecco, her go-to used to be pinot noir, but try try. She is liking.

Lobster Ravioli

Appetizer-sized, right-sized for The Cat.

Pork Chops

The Mouse’s order. Very tasty, but there might have been Parmesean cheese in the breading?

Mushroom Medley

This dish was The Cat and The Mouse’s favorite of the night.

Mixed Berries

On a bed of whipped cream.

The Mouse took lactase pills and tried to avoid the whipped cream but there was still a little firework (sparkler, not aerial) effects in the digestion. Hee hee.

Be safe and well.

The Cat took a family friend to lunch to catch-up. On line menu pictures indicated that Hainan Chicken Rice was a lunch special. Unfortunately, since the picture was posted, there was a change in ownership.

The Cat had to order ala carte.

Fried Pork Chop

Green Beans with Minced Pork

Fried Rice

The Cat said everything was ok, just ok. The Mouse fully understands, when your mind is set on a dish and circumstances beyond your control intercede, the stomach is not satisfied. The search for Hainan chicken rice continues.

Be well and safe.

Pork Eats

The Mouse didn’t plan the day, just turned out that way. Hee hee.

Breakfast:

Pork Chop

Leftover pork chop from The Cat’s lunch, rice, frozen vegetables and chili sauce (local made).

After that, The Mouse was too full for regular lunch, just nibbled on graham crackers and apple slices.

Dinner:

Lechon Kawali with Rice

Small bento from the grocery store. Mmm.

Stay safe and well.
