The Cat and The Mouse drive to town. Grocery store and bakery visit.

Shoyu Pork Plate Lunch

The Cat’s dinner (2 times) and bento, The Mouse’s dinner. part of four meals. 🙂

Good taste and tender. Grocery kitchen used shoulder instead of belly, less fat, probably cheaper too. Still good.

Next to the grocery store, a bakery run by former employees of a Japanese bakery that closed.

Flaky Roll and Bran Muffin

The Cat ate the roll, The Mouse had the muffin for breakfast today. Mmm.

Be safe and well.

Dunno if it is the season but The Mouse has been eating more fish (not canned sardines or tuna) lately.

Fish Filet with Choi Summ

One of the lunch specials from the neighborhood chop suey. Price slightly reduced with rice included. The Mouse thought the fish would be steamed, but turned out fried. Still tasty, although The Mouse would probably not order too often.

Salmon Bento

Although The Mouse shared a portion with The Cat, The Mouse ate the majority.

Butterfish Bento

The Cat’s lunch.

All of the meals were kinda cheap eats, especially in light of the recent rise in turmoil.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse’s:

McChicken Sandwich

No mayo. The Mouse used tarter sauce (less damaging than mayo, more zing) and added pickles at home. 🙂

The Mouse can’t wait until Chik-Fil-a opens in SPAM Land. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Plate Lunch (and Dinner)

The Cat’s go-to Chinese plate lunch take-out spot has gone downhill. Dunno if it’s the lack of workers, supply chain issues, owner losing interest. Shoulder shrug. But, The Cat located a replacement take-out spot.

Plate Lunch

Rice, noodles, vegetable, boneless fried chicken. Enough for lunch, dinner, and still a little leftover.

The Mouse went to the neighborhood Chinese chop suey.

Pasteles Stew

A treat for The Mouse, he has to eat it alone, The Cat can’t digest some of the ingredients (bell pepper, onions).

The Mouse did share two-thirds of the rice, some of the pork and olives with The Cat (she can eat those).

Mmm. 🙂

Stay safe and well.
