Menu item at Chef H’s kitchen: Guest Chef “K” Special Chilled Seafood Pasta. The Mouse was a little concerned there was a potential coup d’état going on. Chef H responded with the “it’s all good” sign.

The Cat’s dinner:

Chilled Pasta

Angel hair pasta, onions, cucumber, tomato.

Mussels, clams, smoked salmon, shrimp, tomato, prosciutto, Japanese yuzu pepper.

A lot of food. The Cat shared with The Mouse. Sauce was shoyu based, not whatever french sauce might be appropriate. reminded The Mouse of somen sauce. Different.

The Mouse wondered what the plating would look like if chef plated, not take-out. Really Instagram worthy. Hee hee.

Because The Cat’s stomach can’t take too much cold food and The Mouse wasn’t sure how much vegetables there would be, The Mouse made a simple vegetable soup.

Vegetable Soup

Fresh asparagus, wakame, salt, olive oil. The Mouse guesses the asparagus and wakame was a kinda French Japanese fusion too. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

For a bit, The Cat and The Mouse try to make one meal last more than one portion. I guess the metabolism is slower than when we were younger. Still not quite old enough to get “senior” discounts yet though. Sigh.

This past Sunday’s dinner, The Mouse is still not quite up to full on flame on in the kitchen yet. Maybe this weekend, take a few steps.

Dinner at the neighborhood cafe.

Penne Pasta Primavera

The Cat’s order, “vegetarian”.

Chicken Marsala with Spaghetti

Both dishes were nom! Plus early bird discount! Winner!

Enough to take home for lunch the next day (both The Cat’s and The Mouse’s).

Enjoy. Eat well,

The Mouse

Not sure what’s on the left, salt, pepper, and olive oil perhaps? Right was stir-fried? Fried saimin style. The Mouse preferred the right side.
