The Mouse. looking for miso butterfish for The Cat. Neighborhood okazu-ya.
The tuna roll, not enough wasabi for The Mouse but still tasty. 🙂

The warehouse safety officer experimenting again (with the blessing of the boss).
Just brined, no seasoning. Mmm. The hot dog was a bonus. Hee hee.
Nicely browned. The Mouse finally got the temp and timing dialed in. 🙂
Stay safe and well.

Another discounted bento. The primary goal was to pick-up another box of boba ice cream bar for The Cat, no brown sugar, settled for milk tea, try try. But the discounted bento looked good.
Miso butterfish! The Mouse got the inari sushi and the sesame mochi ball, The Cat got the rest either for dinner or today’s bento box.
Stay safe and well.

Subtitle: Candle Time.
Newly discovered restaurant for The Cat and The Mouse. Basalt. So far, excellent service (telephone and curbside), good, honest food.
Steamed white rice, vegetable medley, dashi nage. Vegetables were mushrooms and Shanghai cabbage. The Cat liked.
Charcoal bao buns, pickled vegetables, hoisin sriracha sauce. The Mouse liked. The pickled vegetables (bahn mi like) were killer.
Vanilla sponge cake, guava lilikoi mousse, raspberry sauce, mixed berries. Luckily The Mouse had a package of candles in the junk drawer. 🙂
When things settle back to “normal”, The Cat and The Mouse want to try a sit-down at the place. Nom!
Stay safe and well.
