“Volcano” Rice

Leftover rice from lunch yesterday. Warehouse semi-sponsored weekly plate lunch. The Mouse ordered Korean spicy pork (and forgot to take a picture, sigh). The sauce permeated the rice.

At first, The Mouse was going to use the rice for The Cat’s jook, but thought might be too spicy for The Cat. So, became The Mouse’s dinner.

Steamed the rice, steamed an egg, a little shoyu.

“Vocano” Rice

The rice was HOT! but addictive. Taste also had a touch of sweetness. The Mouse just hopes there is no flaming “exhaust” later. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse was nearby and dinner from the gas station seemed like a good idea at the time, no regrets.

Chicken Salad Sandwich

The local 7-Eleven stocks a pretty good BLT but they were sold out last night, good substitute.

Root Beer

One of The Mouse’s faves. Now in diet.

Crunchy Stuff

No, The Mouse did not consume in one sitting. But good that the gas station sells small packs. Controlled portions. Hee hee.

To balance out The Mouse made a fruit salad.

Mandarin Orange, Starfruit, Canned Pineapple

🙂

For The Cat, The Mouse made a quick stew/braise

Dressed up the ground pork stew from earlier this week.

Can

The Mouse hasn’t tried “hoppin’ john” before.

Frozen Okra

The original can had okra, so, the more the merrier.

And for good measure, some frozen spinach too.

One Pot

The hoppin’ john can added a bit of spice to the mix, in a good way. Only wish could’ve added a package of natto, but that’s gotta wait ’till The Cat is away. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
