The mandoo was filled with glass noodles and vegetables. Mmm! The kimbap was filled with kimchi, first time for The Mouse. Eating more fermented stuff, probiotic and all. Hee hee.
The Mouse had an eye doctor’s appointment yesterday. The eyes are less blurry, current prescription, little stronger than necessary, left eye has the possibility of beginning glaucoma, more tests to follow.
Anyway, a stop at the nearby Korean grocery store. A rare find.
Hachiya Persimmons
Over here in SPAM Land, the Fuyu variety is easier to find. Must be easier to ship. The Mouse opened the package, already starting to ripen, a good thing. Hope it’s a good buy. The Cat appreciated the effort.
Since The Mouse was there… Hee hee.
Vegetable Gimbap
Recommended by M. Good choice. The Mouse’s serving of veggies. 🙂
The Mouse sent on an errand to purchase gift card for one of The Cat’s client. Teppanyaki restaurant at the mall. The Mouse got there just after lunch closed. One of the chefs being tested. The Mouse was waiting for the gift card to be prepared.
Chef’s Test Presentation
The other chefs and management tasted, still some food left. Didn’t ask The Mouse to sample. Sigh! Maybe partly The Mouse’s fault, he didn’t specifically voluteer. Heh heh.
The Mouse bought a vegetable kimbap take-out from a Korean vendor at the mall for home consumption.
Annual eye exam, The Mouse still can see, the starting of cataracts, night vision dimmer than before. The Mouse started carrying a small flashlight as part of his pocket stuff.
Korean grocery nearby the doctor’s office. Time for food. Hee hee.
Steamed Mandoo, Kimbap
By the time The Mouse got the food home, it was room temperature, still tasty.
Persimmons
Very nice looking but expensive. Four were close to $12.00. Hope they are good.
