Sunday One-Pot

Quickie no-recipe.

Cubed Pork Shoulder

Browned in pot, no oil, water, liquid smoke. Braise for 90 minutes. Salt and a tiny bit of pepper to taste. Chunky shred.

Stove Top “Kalua Pork”

The Mouse must say, the result was pretty good. Hee hee. Not photogenic, but tasty. Mmm.

Stay safe and well.

No, nothing official, just what The Mouse was eating yesterday Friday. And yes he forgot to press the “publish” button, again. Sigh.

Breakfast, from 7-Eleven.

Kalua Pork and Cabbage over Rice

Kinda appropriate since The Mouse worked on the warehouse’s accounts receivable for 7-Eleven the whole day. Hee hee.

Lunch was home-made leftovers.

Braised Style Kalua Pork with Zucchini

Wasn’t bad, but the dish could have been helped with shredded sun-dried tomatoes added to the mix. None in the pantry and the warehouse doesn’t carry the product. No matter.

Stay safe and well.

Low and Slow

This week’s meat.

Pork Shoulder, Cubed

Par-boil clean, fresh water, liquid smoke, apple cider vinegar, salt. 3-hour slow braise.

After the meat cooled down a bit, The Mouse used a spoon to break up the cubes into a shred. Kalua pork, wet style.

More pics later.

Stay safe and well.

However, now, The Mouse is okay with a couple of drops of ponzu sauce on the sandwich, just to give the taste a hint of vinegar/acid. Nom!

Stay safe and well.

Kalua Pork and Lau Lau Combo Plate

The Mouse reserved most of the Kalua pork, way too much for The Mouse to eat in one sitting.

Chopped up, oil to coat pan, cabbage (dry braised), Kalua pork and Hanapepe salt at the end to warm through.

Braised Cabbage with Kalua Pork Accent

Enjoy. Eat well.
