Indecisions

The Cat and The Mouse couldn’t decide for lunch yesterday. Ended up at King’s Restaurant.

Stir-Fried Kabocha, Japanese Yam, Black Fungus

Ordered before. Still good.

Eggplant, Salted Fish, Chicken Sizzling Pot

Not bad, a little too oily. Good on rice, noodles or bread. 🙂

Be safe, eat good.

Hot Pot Eats

Hop pot. Sunday lunch. Lots of vegetables for The Cat.

Mushrooms!

The Mouse’s favorite. 🙂

The Mouse ended the meal with noodles.

Ramen Noodles, Chinese Sausage, Mushrooms, and White Stemmed Cabbage

Nom!

Enjoy. Eat well.

Hot Pot

Good for cooler weather.

The Cat’s Pot

Excuse the steam.

The Cat likes to throw lots of things in at once.

The Mouse’s Pot

The Mouse tends to be more “single-minded”, maybe that’s why he can’t “multi-task” too well. Hee hee.

Noodles at the end to soak up the soup and “clear the pot”.

The Mouse’s Noodles

Topped with ginger scallion sauce. Mmmm. The Best! 🙂

Enjoy. Eat well.

Hot Pot

Newly introduced to The Cat and The Mouse. Kinda in the neighborhood, couple miles. The Cat’s been here twice, The Mouse thrice. A compilation.

Seafood and Vegetable ‘Fridges

Did I mention AYCE. 🙂

Sauce Bar

Notice the various suggestion (pictures in the back).

The Mouse’s combination.

Garlic, Chinese Parsley, Green Onion, Salt, Sesame Oil

Almost a salad. Hee hee.

Grated Turnip and Ponzu

Yum!

Vegetables

Instead of open containers, this restaurant plates and wraps individual portions. Probably more sanitary and cuts waste. Poor dishwasher though.

The Mouse’s Meat

Ribeye and pork belly. Nom!

Seasoned Ground Pork

Even The Cat tried this one. Hee hee.

The Cat’s Soup

And the topper?

Tang

Part of the “vegetable” selection. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.

Three Chinese restaurants, in Chinatown. All on The Cat’s and The Mouse’s “decent” list. One serves Hunan dishes, one Hong Kong cafe dishes, and one serves Cantonese dishes.

Yesterday, The Cat took her old relative to the one that serves Cantonese dishes, Sunflower Cafe for New Year’s Day lunch. Nothing too fancy.

Crispy Noodles with Pork and Vegetables

.

Fish and Tofu Hot Pot

.

Chinese Broccoli

.

Shrimp and Soft Egg over Rice

The last dish, The Mouse’s choice. Can you tell? The Mouse likes “gravy” over rice dishes. Comfort food to the max. Hee hee.

Holiday season is over. 😦

Enjoy. Eat well.
