Small-kid time.

One of The Mouse’s favorite dishes from the school cafeteria was beef and macaroni. Mmm.

Yesterday’s lunch was a riff on the classic.

Sardines and Macaroni

Instead of tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce. Mmm.

Not the same but just as satisfying as beef and macaroni. 🙂

The Cat’s Bentos

The Mouse didn’t do a one pot dish this week. Impromptu bentos for The Cat.

But first, The Cat’s airline meal.

Rice, corn, mustard cabbage, roast pork. The Mouse shared his grocery store take out.

Steamed vegetables, brown rice, roast pork, corn. The Mouse likes this grocery store’s roast pork, turkey, and pastele stew. 🙂

Rice, mustard cabbage, seaweed, shoyu pork (one serving left from the freezer).

Enjoy. Eat well.

On the way home, stopped in at AJ’s Chinese Fast Food to pick-up a portion of their steamed fish filet.

Then, the owner piled on eggplant and tofu, kau yuk, and lion head (the fish is on the bottom). Only charged me for the fish. It’s good to make friends with food people (I’ll go get him some pastries later).

Ate the kau yuk and lion head last night, taking the fish and eggplant for lunch today.
