A throw everything in and hope for the best, no-recipe lunch.

“Salad”

Black-eyed peas, sliced onion, sliced tomato, quick-brined cucumber, canned sardines (with some oil from the tin), salt and pepper to taste, and coconut vinegar. Kind of a Niçoise salad vibe. Hee hee.

Oh and update of the whiskey mash cornbread.

Very smooth texture, more like pound cake than cornbread, not too sweet. Texture threw The Mouse off. Not bad.

Not all together.

The Mouse’s lunch.

Miso Soup, Ham Sandwich

The Mouse threw in lots of frozen vegetables into the soup (lima beans, soybeans, cauliflower, wakame).

So this at the grocery store had to buy to try.

Yuzu Furikake

Citrus and salty. The Mouse thinks this flavor will pair nicely with fish/seafood.

The Cat’s soups.

Egg Drop Vegetable Soup

Carrot, wakame, Napa cabbage, egg, sea salt.

Chicken Foot and Asparagus Soup

Chicken foot, rice, pasta shells, ginger, vinegar, chickpeas, wakame, asparagus and whiskey at the end.

The Mouse’s Funny Food Bowl

Tuna in oil, chickpeas, paprika, sumac, dried dill and parsley. Mmm!

The Mouse, scrounging through the pantry, refridge, and freezer. 🙂

Lunch

Instant ramen (no soup packet), fresh carrot, frozen cauliflower, wakame, sea salt, black pepper, Sichuan pepper, and turmeric. Oh, and a tin of sardines. The Mouse thinks without the sardines, the bowl would have looked less “ugly”. Hee hee. Not only filled The Mouse up, it was tasty too. 🙂
