More boar than hog? Hee hee!

Location

Crispy Brussels Sprouts

One of the better preparations. The Cat and The Mouse liked. 🙂

Prosecco

The Cat had a glass.

Mongolian BBQ Back Ribs

Mmm delicious.

Grilled Pork Bao Buns

The pork belly had a good balance of meat and fat, the pickled vegetables were yummy. The Mouse felt the texture of the buns was too dense, not pillowy fluffy enough. Maybe kitchen needs to find a Chinese manapua master. Hee hee.

Sauteed Hamachi

Not bad.

Pineapple Skillet

Maple rum sauce, oat crumble, coconut milk sorbet. All non-dairy. The Mouse was happy. 🙂

Be safe and well.

One of our favorite Japanese restaurants trying to cope with the ongoing lock-down, not lock-down by the local government.

Teishoku only available for take-out, eat-in is ala carte. Oh well, different food.

Makizushi

Ahi and avocado, and California. The ahi and avocado was nom, the California was okay.

Japanese Omelet

Another nom, one of The Mouse’s favorite dishes at Japanese restaurants. If it’s listed, The Mouse orders. 🙂

Heart of Palm Tempura

To The Mouse, tasted like bamboo shoot tempura. Not bad.

Hamachi Kama

Really big fish. The Cat liked.

Stay safe and well.

Mid-Week Treat

After the doctor’s appointment. The Mouse is still under observation, The Mouse thinks the doctor is being cautious (a good thing).

Anyway, The Mouse was feeling the need for a treat. The doctor made The Mouse a finger puppet, process involved rubber gloves and Vaseline. Hopefully you get the idea without being too graphic. Good news is the doctor didn’t feel anything unusual.

Waited outside of the restaurant to open.

Outside

Funny, The Mouse never saw a noren that was perpendicular to the entrance, maybe for aesthetics?

The Mouse ordered his favorite fish sandwich.

Maguro Burger

Just a well made sandwich. A treat.

Ordered hamachi kama for The Cat.

Hamachi Kama

According to The Cat, one of the best parts of the fish. The others are head and tail. The Cat ate half for dinner, and half for lunch the next day.

Stay safe and well.

Mosaic

Sunday take-out lunch, town still on lockdown. Back to Sakura Terrace. Quality food, decent and fair price.

Bara Chirashi

Sushi rice, bits and pieces of ingredients. Big nom! The Cat and The Mouse liked. 🙂

Almost looks like it could be abstract art. Hee hee.

Hamachi Sashimi

Nommed with shiso leaves.

Stay safe and well.

Fish Friday

One of the managers at The Mouse’s workplace decided to treat lunch. One of the owner’s other companies he owns, a poke shop.

Poke and Sashimi on Greens

Wasabi Masago poke, salmon, hamachi, and ahi sashimi. This was a small portion. The Mouse was afraid if he ordered the regular, he would be sleepy after. 🙂

Nom!

The Mouse is not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but just wondering if the manager got an “employee discount”. Hee hee.

Stay safe.
