The Mouse wanted sweet pickle flavor. Buying a whole jar is a waste, the pickles turn yellow before we can finish the jar. The Mouse picked up a worthy alternative.

EZ Squeeze

The Mouse is more likely to finish.

The vessels by which the relish was consumed. Hee hee.

The Mouse’s “Cheat Plate”

Fried and salty food with sweet pickles/relish. Mmm! 🙂

From Panda Express: Chicken egg roll, and vegetable spring rolls (2). From grocery store: corn dog.

The Mouse picked up a one choice for The Cat.

Steamed Rice, Mixed Vegetables, Mushroom Chicken

For Murphy’s Law reasons, The Cat didn’t have the food for dinner, she will take it for her bento.

Be safe and well.

The blob, part ii. Another baggie of “merged” dumplings. Options were to toss it or “bite the bullet” and eat it. Ugh! Erring on the side of not wanting to waste, The Mouse decided to tackle the blob. Instead of another steaming episode, The Mouse decided to fry it. A little oil, non-stick fry pan, and medium low heat. About ten/fifteen minutes on one side, flipped for another ten/fifteen minutes on the other side, half cup of water or so, turned the heat to medium/medium high, and covered for another five/ten minutes.

Fried Blob

Also known as one giant pot-sticker. Hee hee.

Hundred times better than steamed, but still a challenge. The Mouse had to take a food coma nap after. Zzz.

BTW, much thanks to https://hangakugozen.wordpress.com/ for the suggestion and instructions for frying, I guess great minds think alike. \ooo/

Stay safe and well.

Smal-Kid Time Eats

The Mouse’s dinner last night, kinda nostalgic. Elementary school, favorite area was the cafeteria, best days were when The Mouse was assigned to help in the cafeteria. Those cafeteria ladies were the best. 🙂

One of The Mouse’s favorite lunches, fish sticks.

Present day grocery store take-out.

Fried Fish and Pita

Lunch at elementary school would probably be oven fries or tater tots, but The Mouse wanted the meal a tiny bit healthier. Hee hee.

Stay well and safe.
