Sunday, The Cat’s “hibernation” day.

The Cat’s bowl, food in between hibernation periods.

Brunch

Soft rice, fried egg, shoyu. The Mouse tried to baste the egg with oil in the frying pan, not enough oil, sunny-side-up it is.ย

The Mouse also roasted Brussels sprouts for The Cat’s bento. One lonely Brussels sprout didn’t make the pan. The Mouse added it to his pita and bologna “sandwich”.

The Mouse’s Lunch

The Mouse never tried raw Brussels sprouts before, not bad, would do it again, just not in large quantities. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Picked up from Costco over the weekend.

Package

The Cat working late this week. The Mouse thought little more nutritious than instant noodles, plus less salt.

The Mouse tested with The Cat’s bowl of “instant” jook (leftover rice).

The Cat’s Bowl

Seaweed, celery, fried egg, toasted sesame oil.

The Cat slurped.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse eats. Not really “sandwiches”, stuff between two pieces of bread, but, close enough. Hee hee.

Chicken Wrap from Starbucks

V shared with The Mouse. She could only eat half. Grilled white meat chicken, chile-lime slaw, ginger cream cheese, chile tortilla. Nom.

Natto Toast with Fried Egg

The Mouse made himself, for dindin. Think avocado toast but better! Hee hee. At least in The Mouse’s opinion, others may differ. ๐Ÿ™‚

And for a bonus …

Boiled Fava Beans

Precooked, frozen, parboil when ready to eat. Have to make the flup flup sound when eating. Just the beans no liver or Chianti. Hee hee ewww!

Enjoy. Eat well.

Sun in a Bowl

Weather still relatively cool. Clouds threatening.

Clouds

Even the sun was blocked.

Where’s the sun?

The Mouse decided to give The Cat a little “sunshine”.

Congee with Fried Egg

The Cat had a dinner meeting. The Mouse hunts for food. First option was a steak. Not fancy steakhouse, but Italian cafe up the street or Ruby Tuesday. But then, leftovers, The Cat wouldn’t eat (beef). Next option, “dive” bar near work. Yelp pictures of pork chop and fried rice are intriguing, probably too much food, wait for a group.

Finally, drive inn up the street. Mixed plate.

Spicy Eggplant and Chicken Katsu

Forgot to ask for all rice, no salad. Next time.

Small Fried Rice with Two Eggs

Portions are very generous. The Mouse ate about a third of the plate lunch, and half of the fried rice (with one egg).

The Cat’s bento is packed. Still enough food for at least one more meal. ๐Ÿ™‚

Cost less than one moderately priced steak meal. Hee hee.

Enjoy. Eat well.
