Still dealing with the new editor. Now, The Mouse has to start a post, save, get out, re-enter, then choose to edit in the “classic” mode. Sooooooo stoooooopid.

Anyways, The Cat not feeling 100%. Got antibiotics from doctor. The Mouse kinda made patient food.

Corned Beef Hash and Egg Jook

Recooked the rice with extra water, added wakame, frozen spinach, sesame seeds, salt. Corned beef hash and egg on top. Dried parsley garnish.

Crab Paste Try

From the warehouse “clearance” shelf, stuff that cannot be sold to customers, still good to use.

Ingredients indicated that the paste shouldn’t be too spicy.

At first, The Mouse was going to scramble eggs, but The Cat came home too late. So, The Mouse improvised.

Art?

Hee hee, scrambled eggs with crab paste.

The Mouse made jook with leftover rice and chicken broth. When The Cat was ready, brought the jook up to just starting to boil temperature, poured (not drop) the egg mixture in, turned off the heat, and let the pot sit for a minute or so.

Comfort Food

Zippy’s chili. The Mouse knows, not “authentic”, local. Usually, The Mouse orders the vegetarian option without rice. But The Mouse was feeling a little “weird”, ordered original (meat and beans).

The Mouse added an egg, not the soft scramble like Chef Gordon Ramsey, but the more aggressively hot fried like Chef Kristen Kish.

Helping to flatten the curve. Eating in.

One bowl. The Mouse likes. Easy, less dishes to wash, especially if The Mouse is washing. Hee hee.

Fried rice, Chinese roast pork, steamed egg. The Mouse is still trying to get the perfect timing for the egg. Good, but maybe 30 seconds less next time.

“Volcano” Rice

Leftover rice from lunch yesterday. Warehouse semi-sponsored weekly plate lunch. The Mouse ordered Korean spicy pork (and forgot to take a picture, sigh). The sauce permeated the rice.

At first, The Mouse was going to use the rice for The Cat’s jook, but thought might be too spicy for The Cat. So, became The Mouse’s dinner.

Steamed the rice, steamed an egg, a little shoyu.

“Vocano” Rice

The rice was HOT! but addictive. Taste also had a touch of sweetness. The Mouse just hopes there is no flaming “exhaust” later. Hee hee.
