Unexpected Pit Stop

The Mouse’s car experienced a flat tire. While waiting for repair, The Mouse ate.

Pork and vegetable filled. Mmm.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse hasn’t eaten yum cha in a loooong while. The Cat and The Mouse running errands. Thought we had to get something from Chinatown but changed our minds. But since we were there. Hee hee.

The restaurant was inundated with take-out orders, staff a bit frazzled. The Cat and The Mouse didn’t get to order a couple of dim sum that we wanted. Next time.

Stay safe and well.

The Mouse was MIA yesterday, helping The Cat on a rush order. While not entirely on the scale of Rogue One …

Sunday lunch eats, after a somewhat “difficult” errand, Taiwanese style tea shop, The Cat wanted something soupy.

To The Mouse, the pork was kinda like if Zippy’s chili was dry without beans or mapo tofu without the tofu, also dry. Not bad.

Fried Dumplings

Very good, except The Cat had to limit since the filling contained chives (not digestible). The Mouse liked.

Taiwan Omelette with Dried Pork

Best dish of the day. Crepe, scrambled egg, dried pork floss, cucumber. The Mouse tried this once before as take-out. Eat-in was much better.

The Mouse is looking for his own droid for the next time. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.

Probably not as “healthy” as the previous bowl, still warm and comforting.

Bowl

Tube pasta, leftover dumplings, wakame, Vienna sausage. Mmm. 🙂

Weather has been just a little chilly (relatively speaking).

Stay safe and well.

The blob, part ii. Another baggie of “merged” dumplings. Options were to toss it or “bite the bullet” and eat it. Ugh! Erring on the side of not wanting to waste, The Mouse decided to tackle the blob. Instead of another steaming episode, The Mouse decided to fry it. A little oil, non-stick fry pan, and medium low heat. About ten/fifteen minutes on one side, flipped for another ten/fifteen minutes on the other side, half cup of water or so, turned the heat to medium/medium high, and covered for another five/ten minutes.

Fried Blob

Also known as one giant pot-sticker. Hee hee.

Hundred times better than steamed, but still a challenge. The Mouse had to take a food coma nap after. Zzz.

BTW, much thanks to https://hangakugozen.wordpress.com/ for the suggestion and instructions for frying, I guess great minds think alike. \ooo/

Stay safe and well.
