A revisit to Kapiolani Seafood. The Mouse wanted to try their egg tart.

Egg Tarts

Very soft and creamy. The Mouse guesses lots of cream in the custard, he took to lactase pills, just in case. No untoward incident experienced. Whew!

Jook of the Day

Last week’s “flavor” was pork with preserved egg. This week, The Mouse thought the jook tasted like turkey or chicken with preserved egg. No matter, still good. 🙂

Chicken Dumplings

There was a hot pot dish, look funn with tendon on the menu, The Mouse was going to order. The Cat thought too much soup, the smaller bowl of chicken dumplings was ordered instead. The tendon was saved till next time.

The dumplings were very large, not bad, could be seasoned more. The Mouse’s opinion. The wrap was slightly thick. Try try.

Be safe, eat good.

Taiwan Omelet

Flat pancake, scrambled eggs, cucumber, pork floss (dried pork jerky, shredded), and mayonnaise. One of The Cat’s favorite “street foods”. She took it for lunch the next day.

Be safe and well.

The Mouse was MIA yesterday, helping The Cat on a rush order. While not entirely on the scale of Rogue One …

Sunday lunch eats, after a somewhat “difficult” errand, Taiwanese style tea shop, The Cat wanted something soupy.

Braised Minced Pork Rice Noodle Soup
Braised Minced Pork on Rice

To The Mouse, the pork was kinda like if Zippy’s chili was dry without beans or mapo tofu without the tofu, also dry. Not bad.

Fried Dumplings

Very good, except The Cat had to limit since the filling contained chives (not digestible). The Mouse liked.

Taiwan Omelette with Dried Pork

Best dish of the day. Crepe, scrambled egg, dried pork floss, cucumber. The Mouse tried this once before as take-out. Eat-in was much better.

The Mouse is looking for his own droid for the next time. Hee hee.

Stay safe and well.
