The Mouse bought a container of beet powder from a “dress for less” store. Go figure. Hee hee.

Drink
Texture was a little powdery, not too offensive. Taste, a little earthy, little sweet. Funny, taste kinda reminded The Mouse of artificial strawberry powder for milk, except not so sweet.
The Mouse serving as driver to The Cat and her school-mate, Waimea Valley Falls. The Mouse was getting kinda tired and didn’t want to attempt the easy hike, sat at the visitor center/staging area. Snack time. 😉
Iced Coffee
Very good coffee, dark and rich but not bitter. For The Mouse, no sugar needed.
Double Chocolate Muffin
The muffin had a slight molten chocolate texture, mmm. The coffee paired very well with the muffin. The Mouse was happy. 🙂
The Mouse also bought a cookie, just in case the wait was over the expected time (it was).
Oatmeal Cookie
Nice. Not as wow as the muffin but more than decent.
After snack, The Mouse went back to the car and took a nap. Hee hee.
A visit to a rum distillery. The Cat and The Mouse playing tourist with The Cat’s high school classmate.
Place
Tour explained the different sugarcane varieties, and the experimentation they are conducting. Afterwards, tasting. Hic!

The non-aged white rums were a little too harsh for The Cat’s and The Mouse’s palate. The aged rum was a little more acceptable, but the rum that is infused with chocolate was the most liked.
Due to research, The Mouse also acquired rum infused chocolate bars (Manoa Chocolate) and rum infused honey (Manoa Honey). (R. Field Wine and Company)

Can
The Mouse tried. IMO, Meh. Kinda weird, but drinkable. Maybe it’s an acquired taste, but The Mouse likes cola and coffee, just not together. There’s a vanilla flavored one too. Maybe The Mouse will give that one a try try (only if it’s on promotion, hee hee).Â
