No Chinese food, restaurants too crowded. The Cat and The Mouse decided on Rigo restaurant, Spanish and Italian cuisine, Japanese chef. Lunch specials, includes small salad.

This is The Cat’s dish, server was kind enough to leave cheese off of The Mouse’s. πŸ™‚

Pork Belly “Taco”

Turnip instead of tortilla. Mmm.

Clam. Asparagus & Tomato Caldoso

Spanish style soup risotto. Think “ojiya” or “jook”. The Cat’s order. Good choice, she is getting over a cold.

The Mouse forgot to take a pic of his shoyu-butter spaghetti. No worries, think white rabbit in snow storm. Tasty though. πŸ™‚

No non-dairy desserts, The Cat ordered chocolate cassata.

Snake River Farm guava BBQ Kurobuta pork shank, pan gravy, garlic mashed potato, steamed rice, haricot vert, braised red cabbage. Fall off the bone. Mmm! Both The Cat and The Mouse ordered. Leftovers! πŸ™‚

Strawberry parfait, Italian ladyfingers, fresh macerated strawberries, mascarpone cheese, chantilly cream.

Too much dairy for The Mouse.

Weird weekend schedule. Super early meeting with a Buddhist minister. Light lunch. The Cat wanted something refreshing. Nearby, a Filipino restaurant. Halo-Halo. Server was kind enough to separate the dairy components for The Mouse. πŸ™‚

Deconstructed Halo-Halo

Condensed milk, ube ice cream, other Halo-Halo ingredients. All worked out, The Cat’s favorite part is the ice cream which she had all to herself. Most of the condensed milk went home for her coffee. The Mouse made an impressionistic art piece. Hee hee.

The Cat treated The Mouse.

Acai Bowl

The Mouse mixed the acai sorbet with yuzu lemon. Because it was Halloween, the dessert shop offered one free topping, The Mouse ordered crushed Oreo cookies. Mmm!

The cat order two scoops.

Chocolate sorbetto and pistachio. For her free topping, The Cat ordered crushed mixed nuts. The chocolate sorbetto had deep chocolate flavor, light, and refreshing. Added to the list of favorite flavors.

p.s. The Mouse bought The Cat a pair of pajama bottoms and a pair of travel chopsticks for her treat bag. πŸ™‚

Morton’s The Steakhouse running a holiday dinner prixe fix dinner menu. One appetizer (half portion), one entrΓ©e, one side, one dessert.

Both The Cat and The Mouse started with jumbo shrimp cocktail.

Nom! Next time, The Mouse is going to request extra horseradish. Mmm!

Again, both The Cat and The Mouse ordered Ora king salmon.

Ora King Salmon

This dish is nice because included is a bed of mixed vegetables (cauliflower, edamame, tomatoes, etc). Other steak dishes do not come with the vegetables (Manago hotel plating).

Desserts were different.
